This is our 4th trip to Paris and we've had spotty luck with eating out in all parts of the city. Before heading out tonight, we consulted TripAdvisor and selected this place for price and good reviews. Very good choice. I initiated everything in French but the waiter was very happy to serve in English. This was professional service, too: he always knew what was going on at our table, but we never noticed him until he was there refilling our wine glasses.

The food was very good as well. The Thai beef salad had nicely grilled beef, about medium-rare, and using good-quality cuts that were tender and lean, with a subtle dressing on green beans and salad leaves. My only beef (sorry!) was that the soy was there but the ginger was lacking. Still, a good dish and a solid value. The salmon tartare was lovely and nicely paired with the cucumber-yoghurt sauce.

Nice atmosphere. Helpful staff. Food is simple and surprisingly good. It seems like just a bar. But we had lamb chops and duck confit. Both were really good.

On my every trip to Paris I seek out this place (even if it's not convenient)for an Irish coffee!
It's truly a work of art!
The food looks and smells terrific and the staff is always friendly inspite of me not speaking French. Grab a window seat and enjoy!!!

We arrived there by chance, and found that chance was the proper word in French as well, ie luck. At noon, this small, unassuming, streetcorner restaurant was almost empty. It was overfull at 1 pm, with people waiting to get a table. We could understand them, having relished our "Plats du jour" (spicy cod on mediterrenean-style vegetables, and chicken with spaghettis in creamy mushroom sauce) and "cafés gourmands". "Cerises sur le gâteau" : a smiling and helpful waitress, and cosy tables in intimate arrangements (despite the small size of the place). A really good surprise.

My fiancé and I found this place through other Trip Advisor reviews and had a great time.

We started off with one waiter and I guess he went off shift so we ended with another. We aren't complaining as it wasn't distracting nor did it impact our food. In fact, we liked the second waitress more than the original waiter (though he was pleasant and effective).

We shared the "brick de chèvre' salad, which literally had 4 deep fried large chunks of host cheese. It was delicious.

We then ordered a beef and salmon tartare with frites. They were both delicious.

At the end, our waitress humoured us as we asked her to take a photo of us before leaving.

The food and ambiance was exactly what we wanted from a French bistro.
