I had tried on two previous occasions to eat in this popular small restaurant in the Marais but had been thwarted both times because I had not made a reservation. This time, I made sure by reserving a table for 7pm when the restaurant opened in the evening. I arrived with a few minutes to spare to discover a queue forming outside on the pavement. I had a generous portion of mushroom pâté to start with, which was OK but nothing special, followed by a tasty hazelnut dish with roast potatoes. My fromage blanc with cinnamon was a bit disappointing. I don’t know if it was the early hour, or the fact that this is a vegetarian restaurant in Paris, but all of the diners, and the restaurant was full, were either British or American.
