We went as a group to The Greenhouse for a Christmas meal last week and had a brilliant time. Excellent food and generous portions all cooked by Arthur who is a great host. I had a very tasty Pumpkin soup to start, Irish Stew and veg for the main and an indulgent chocolate desert all with plenty of wine and beer on tap. The restaurant was beautifullly decorated for Christmas and had an infectious atmosphere and all the hospitality that you would expect from the Irish! The Greenhouse was also well equipped to cater for our large group and kept the food and drink rolling out with apparent ease, overall a great choice for our group Christmas meal.

Our visit was just for the day, travelling over by Eurostar. The Greenhouse it easy to find and worth making to the effort for Arthurs excellent home cooking and his Irish stew is one not to be missed!

Great welcome from Arthur, who runs the whole show cheerfully and effectively. Starters of leek tart and (a very generous helping of) pumpkin soup were both light and delicious. Mains eaten were Irish lamb stew (of course), a lovely home-made dish; and salmon in butter sauce. All were well-cooked and properly seasoned. Bread arrived promptly without having to be asked for, and we enjoyed, well, a few glasses of the home-bottled red. Kilkenny beer is also on tap.
It's a short hop from Gare du Nord on the metro, and I'll definitely be returning to try some of the other dishes on the menu.
