Even though this is a department store restaurant, the food was very good. The crab sandwich had piles of fresh crab meat. The mac n cheese was good (it was called something else!). The waiter was really friendly and tried his best to help us order, though he didn't speak much English and we didn't speak much French! The view is amazing. You can go to the terrace and just look at the view if you don't want to eat in the restaurant.

I stayed at a nearby hotel and go here every morning to stock up on food for breakfast & snacks! A couple of Maison Kayser's bread, ham & cheese and voila my economic breakfast/lunch/dinner! There are a Japanese/Chinese & Thai counter too if you want a break from the yummy croissants. And for dessert try out Sadaharu Aoki's cakes & macaroons! Yum!

I always come here to search for nice presents of French confectionery (bons bons, patisserie, chocolate, various things) when I want to post Christmas parcels, etc. It is also helpful if you are looking for an ingredient that is not easily available in France (anglo/mexican/southern european 'exotic' things which are not exotic at all in their home country, of course).

For a more expensive version of this shop, or for a wider array of pseudo 'exotic' ingredients try Le Bon Marché.

There is also a small café and fresh patisserie, seafood, fruit stalls etc in Lafayette Gourmet.
