We went on a Friday just as the place opened (7:15ish--a little unclear), and they hesitated to seat us (family of 3). We did enjoy our meal--the pho was delicious. While we felt a bit pressured to eat and run, our orders were clearly bumped for take-out orders. My food arrived 20 minutes after my husband's, but it was good nonetheless. Perhaps visiting M-Th is more relaxing. Otherwise definitely make a reservation if you're craving quality Vietnamese.

There is room for just twelve people to sit in this restaurant, and as the food arrives one dish at a time, you feel like a member of an exclusive club. There are just two employees, one (the husband) working the room, always with a smile, and the other (the wife) hard at it in the kitchen. The dishes we ordered were all distinctive and full of interesting flavors. We experienced a kind welcome and attentive service throughout. Unforgettable experience.

We can highly recommend this little and very cosy and romantic restaurant in one of Paris nice quaters to go out for dinner drinks and show! The Pho is just perfect and the steamed banh cuon were delicious! Wine recommendation was also matching! The service was excellent, and when a napkin was dropped it was replaced quicker than one could actually pick it up ! Lots of eye for detail the place will see us again everytime we come through paris!!! Go n enjoy!!!

We had an extremely disappointing meal, for three reasons.

Firstly be aware that there is one Bonjour Vietnam at 6 Rue Thouin and another at 85 Rue du Cardinal Lemoine. They are both within 150 metres of each other, and have identical menus. We had a booking at the rue Thouin restaurant but mistakenly went to the Cardinal Lemoine restaurant. No-one told us this, and they proceeded to seat us anyway.

We were very disappointed with the maître d'. As a native English speaker, it is easy to judge someone's grasp of English. He had no difficulties with holding a conversation, until we asked for tap water and he pleaded he did not understand. This is not a bizarre request given he is a waiter in a busy tourist district. He insisted on selling us Evian, and it was not until my son who lives in France spoke to him in French that he 'understood'.

He also tried to charge us for a more expensive wine than we had ordered, perhaps because he could not rip us off with the water.

The food is ok, but we will never be going back.

This very little restaurant is held by a husband (serving) and his wife (cooking in front of you)
It is just one room, so tables are really one aside the other (forget any intimacy) and cuisine smells are all around ..and on your cloths after the dinner!
Food is nice and prices are moderate, but the service overall is average: I booked but the table wasn't ready, also other guests with reservation were invited to go to the other restaurant of the same owners (?).
