My wife and I decided to try L’Estrapade for our last dinner in Paris based on fantastic TripAdvisor reviews. As other reviewers have said, L’Estrapade is a small bistro in the Latin Quarter with only a few tables and serves typical French cuisine, so reservations are essential. The menus are written on chalkboards, which they are more than happy to translate for non-French speakers. Not surprising, the restaurant quickly fills with both locals and tourists. My wife and I ordered a bottle of French wine, a Domaine Richaud Cairanne 2013, Côtes Du Rhône Villages for 47€; and we each ordered three courses from the €36 set menu (six different dishes). We shared and tasted each of each other’s dishes as they were served. The wine was better than a Châteauneuf-du-Pape we’d had a couple of days earlier, and we were both quite happy with EVERYTHING in our dinners. Dinner at L’Estrapade was a great way to end our stay in Paris. The total for our two dinners, including the wine, was 119,00€.
