We found this restaurant thanks to Trip Advisor and also due to the fact that on Mondays several other suggested venues were closed. After visiting Notre Dame make your way over to Isle St Louis to enjoy lunch at this cute restaurant. It is very unassuming and you could easily miss it when walking along the street. When we arrived we were the only ones there but 2 other couples soon followed. The formule (14 euros) - set menu- is very good value and everyone enjoyed their traditional French fare. This is well prepared food, thoughtfully served but without any airs and graces. The restaurant is located in a very old building that requires quite a climb to get to the toilets! Put this on your list when visiting Paris. It is far better than any of the meals we ate at the very prominent cafes whose tables face all of the touristy areas!

We discovered this little restaurant near the apartment we stayed in on Isle St Louis and enjoyed it so much that we went back again a 2nd time.
Although we did not have a reservation we were warmly welcomed and received good service.
The tables are very close together but this resulted in us meeting and conversing with some interesting people.
The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. In particular we loved the French Onion soup and Magret de Canard.
It is very popular so try to get there before 7.30pm to avoid a wait for a table.

I can attest that I have never had a disappointing meal at Aux Anysetiers. I first visited in 2008 and Chef Lilly has always been present in the old French open kitchen to prepare tasteful French classics in a delightful atmosphere.

The walls and decor are authentic old Paris and the service is attentive. The food does not always fly out of the kitchen at a prompt speed because meals and sauces are prepared å la minute here (made to order).

The rabbit in mustard sauce and the mint lamb are excellent. The warm goat cheese salad and the escargot make fine started fare. The wine list leaves much to be desired but features some decent regional classics including an acceptable Riesling and Chablis.

A word of advice: lunch service is a prompt affair. Do not expect to be received with open arms if you arrive after 2pm because the kitchen closes between lunch and dinner service. Reservations are advised for dinner service.

Great street with a lot of gelato options :)
This restaurant serves decent basic fare and the owner is pretty accommodating ; food comes out fast and hot and is affordable for Paris rates .
