The room was clean with a spacious bathroom, the mattress was very comfortable (especially compared to other, more expensive hotels we've stayed at) and the staff was always helpful. We loved the proximity to the Metro, which takes you fast to the centre of Paris.

Most of our issues with this hotel were probably my fault, having waited too long to make a reservation. We were placed on the top (6th floor) with a tight, winding staircase and no elevator. This typically would have been an annoyance but fine, expect for that it was unbearably hot with no elevator. Our room temperature was that of a sauna with not even a fan available for relief. Heavy cigarette odor in the room as well. At night we had to choose between being kept up by the noise with the window open (but still, very hot), or by the extreme heat and the window closed to block noise.
Pros: fairly clean, friendly reception staff, very close to metro.

Seriously? To get to the room on the fifth floor I had to climb very narrow and steep stairs. Great exercise, but not what I was looking for at 10 pm with suitcases on my hands. Only to find a tiny room with a shared bathroom with all the rooms on the fifth floor. I don't believe that people are still considering this property as an option for 90 euro per night.
The "lively" neighborhood means there are cars horning all through the night and "many restaurants" means greasy kebab and other joints that lack hygiene.
Lesson learned: you might have to spend more than a hundred euros per night for a decent stay in Paris. If necessary.
If not, better avoid this overrated destination, and travel and enjoy places where you get more for the money.

The room was very sweet and clean and the receptionist polite and helpful. This hotel is on the outskirts of Paris, but the metro line is just a few steps away. The area of the hotel is not very pleasant and is very noisy during the day and the night.
