“High prestige - average quality”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

I had the opportunity to have a business dinner in the restaurant. based on the high prestige I expected something speial. Did not get it..... The coupole it is indeed nice. But I wonder if I woud ever pay that amount for a cieling.... Service was shame! so slow, so much without interest.... In a very crowded, very noisy place... and the food ... somehow average.

“I go to this place every time I'm in Paris.”
Reviewed February 11, 2013 via mobile

It's just one of those places that never seems to lose its mojo.
I first went in 1974 and I don't see any reason to change a long held and very therapeutic habit.

I love La Coupole!

“Another traditional Parisian Brasserie”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

Huge room, always full and busy with customers.
Mixing tourists and local. Basic brasserie carte make all the standard available including oysters.
Make sure not to book too early, rather 9/10pm so as not to be mixed with tourists and enjoy the real Parisian traffic enjoying a Brasserie diner after a show. Ask for a table close to the center of the room so as to enjoy the global view

“Worst to stop by!”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

Often dropping by to take breakfast in this mythical place of Paris, I always enjoy to relax there in the morning with nice croissants and bread. The service is cold but professional, and that's part of the cultural atittude of the parisien waiters. They are doing this job since ages, and are pround of it! At lunch or dinner, the place starts to be full and give you another athmosphere of a parisien "brasserie" with its "art deco" decoration, the french food, and a good wine. The price is high but you pay as well to be in a place full of history where famous writers and people used to come by in the past. I advice you if you are bored of french food (how come ;)) to try as well the curry, served by indians people with traditional clothes. The desserts worst it as well.
If you are not scared of the cold attitude of the waiters and the price, there is definitly magic out there!
