So Japanese and French fusion for desserts! Yummy! I tried Symphonie, which consists of two large macaron shells, sandwiched with fresh raspberries and Earl Grey & rose cream. Looking superb, tastes very nice. The flavours dance in your mouth.

Nice pastries with matcha green tea, bamboo, sesame. You can also buy them from Lafayette in its gourmet department. Everything I bought was fresh and well made, with very interesting flavor combinations. Pastries at 6.10 to take away seem a bit expensive.

We had ventured over to Sadaharu Aoki on the recommendation of a friend. This store is very cute, very Japanese, small and as stated before a take out patisserie without seating.

We bought some macaroons, the matcha, wasabi and I will admit that they weren't the best macarons I've ever had, but they were fine. But this is not the reason to visit this establishment.

One must come her to try the different selections of pastries. We also enjoyed the black sesame eclair, matcha chou, and salted caramel tart. All of these were AMAZING. the Asian flavours mixed with the french pastries were incredible. Worth the time getting here and the money.

During our 5-day Paris trip, we had macarons at 5 different places and the macarons from Sadaharu Aoki were our least favourite ones with our favourite being from Pierre Herme. First off, note that the Rue de Vaugirard store is for take-out only with no seating available. We specifically came to this patisserie as I was really excited about the idea of Asian flavours macarons. However, we found both the matcha and sesame favors very "fake". They were both very sweet without the actual favors of matcha and sesame. We tried other typical favors too but didn't enjoy those either. We also found the texture of the macarons too chewy for our liking. We also bought a lemon "muffin" which we didn't enjoy. All in all a big disappointment.
