Coming across simple and inexpensive food along the Champs is quite a task. Hence Le Baron was a saviour of sorts for me on my recent trip having visited it on 2 consecutive days!!!
The restaurant is on Rue de Washington, which is the same road as Louis Vuitton (corner Champs and Rue De Washington) however on the opposite side of LV. By some chance I noticed the sign for Lebanese restaurant and had to try it - a welcomed difference from the many uncharacteristic cafe's along the Champs.
The restaurant was very clean, yet simple. The owner and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful as I was a bit unfamiliar with the menu.
On day 1 I ordered a beef Schwarma, which was served with hearty fries (cut in rounds) and a salad. On day 2 I ordered a Falafel with the same accompaniments, both of which were served in tightly wrapped "sandwiches" and were easy and not messy to eat. Both meals did not disappoint, were large portions (perfect after a hectic day sightseeing) and tasty!!
Tip - ask for garlic dip on the side for your fries!!!
Try the tea with mint leaves!
