“Good Food”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Before going heading out for our Easter weekend break to Paris, we looked up some restaurants that catered for vegetarians. We came across Krishan Bhavan (100% pure vegetarian restaurant) which had mixed reviews, but we thought we try it out anyway. The food was good, tasty and it was freshly made and reasonably priced. The service is a little rushed but that’s because the restaurant is so busy that they seat you in, order your food and literally once you have finished eating give you your bill set you on your way to seat more people that are queuing out the door, the restaurant is very busy. The restaurant is small and the tables are quite cosy next to eat other, but the diners (or us) didn’t really seem to mind so much. We had dinner at this restaurant twice for the 3 day’s that we were there. The restaurant is conveniently only a 3 min walk from the local metro station (La Chapelle). Also have to rate the 2 members of staff managing all with smiling faces from seating, orders, clearing and the extra demands of the diners.

“Mediocre, at best”
Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

We went to Krishna Bhavan because Saravana Bhavan had long queues.
We should have realised why there were no lines at this place. The food was a poor imitation of south Indian cuisine.
Service was decent.
We tried the dosas, vadas and idlis. They were all meh.

Wouldn't go back.

“Its obvious why its not a Sarvana Bhawan!”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

I went to Krishna Bhavan on 28 March. I ordered a plate of vada-sambar.
Few awful things about the resto:
- the vada samabr I ordered came after 20mins, served COLD
- the vadas were old and stale. I asked why isn't it fried and fresh and she said we make it in the morning and serve (read 'cold')all day!
- the sambar was so bad that I have a bad throat now
- no chutney was served . Had to ask for it
- the waitress lady was so inhospitable. It was really like she's doing a favor to the world by being there
- the place had a very untidy look
- never going back there again.

“Best Indian in Paris”
Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

This is the best we've had so far in Paris. My dining partner lived in India for 5 years & has been searching for good Southern Indian cuisine. Found it here. Thali for 10€, Banda & poori for 10€. It's a small place, but the line out the door says it all!

“Good food, feels like little India ”
Reviewed March 23, 2013 via mobile

The restaurant lies in the Indian quarter of Paris. The food was good and filled our bellies. 15 euro for a 3 course menu including a drink is good value for Paris standards.
I definitely recommend this restaurant.
