This is a warm, cozy restaurant that feels like a french version of a theme restaurant. After being seated, you are given a huge basket of crudite--unpeeled, un-cut veggies served with dressing. Then you are directed with your jug to the "all the wine you can drink" spigot (red or white) which you can fill to your heart's content and a small salad bar with things like cornichons and weird pasta salads, but couscous was a hit with my kids. There is also an all you can eat sausage/salami bar that you serve yourself. We found that the three dinner choices were not very good--steak, chicken (a very greasy chicken thigh and leg on the bone) or lamb chop or kabob. These are served with a baked potato and string beans. Dessert was just okay--there were 4 choices including mousse, lemon ice and flan. The service was a little flaky and took forever to get our main entrees. The host is very friendly and the singer/guitarist that serenades during the meal is fun but I would skip this restaurant entirely. Very pricey at 40 euros each. So many other great restaurants in Paris to try!!
