Having walked over an hour to get here (it looked so much closer on the map!) we had well and truly earned our supper! For €40 you pretty much get all you can eat: huge basket of raw vegetables for salad, charcuterie, bread, pâtés and a main (I had great beef skewers). There is a 'buffet' at either end of place for starters and barrels of wine from which to fill your jug.. Refills are included!
This place has loads of rough and ready character, the kind that makes you want to clank tankards together in a medieval-esque fashion. The unlimited wine definitely aided the fun as did the guitar player who serenaded tables with a huge selection of classics; Beatles, Van Morrison and open to requests.
Staff were very welcoming, funny and happy to organise a taxi at the end of the night.
