“Delicious "homely" meal”
Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

I've been here a couple of time before with friends or family and still think that this tiny and charming place offers very tasty meals that feels home cooked, and provides an amazing service for a 3 people crew and being in Paris. €100 meal for 4 people with a good bottle of Gicondas is not bad either. The only downside, facilities, in particular the toilet are quite run down.

“Give it a go you will be surprised”
Reviewed March 1, 2013

We went here on recommendation from my daughter who went here with her school group. It was a Sunday in Paris and a big storm was on the way. We decided we should shelter and have some lunch. 15 Euro for 3 courses the soup and snails were all consumed great bread and lots of it. The mains are all classic French cooking. Desert was all the usual suspects, licked my plate clean. Had the house red which was ok meanwhile the storm raged and many poked their head inside hoping for a table, alas the place was pretty chokas. The owner is helpful and friendly and likes to chat even though he is busy. If you are a tourist and are unsure where to go this place is a haven amongst the traps of Paris.

“One of the best restaurants in Paris!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Amazing food, fabulous choice and lovely, bijou setting, and all for only €16 per person for a 3 course meal!

Normally in Montmatre, only 30 seconds from the main square and 2 minutes from Le Sacre Coeur you would expect a restaurant of this quality to cost a fortune but Le Pulbot is simply amazing.

It serves French cuisine in good, filling portions and doesn't charge the earth for it. I started going here with friends when I lived in Paris during 1999-2000 and have returned time and time again as well as sending any and all friends and family who have visited Paris and ALL of them have said how wonderful it was.

I even took my friend and the hens on a Hen weekend and with a very particular mother she was concerned that the food had to be good. LEt me tell you that Le Poulbot did not disappoint! The Bride-to-be's mother was so impressed that she returned to the restaurant 2 months later with her husband and their friends who were also blown away by the quality, choice and price of the food.

You can go a la carte but the €16 menu with 3 choices for each course is so good you really don't need to.

An excellent restaurant be it for friends, a hen party, to impress people or even a marriage proposal, you can't go far wrong with this place and afterwards you can just pop around the corner either to the Dali museum or the other way to the main square in Montmatre to see the artists and peruse the cafes.
