I have been to this place several times and each time it never disappoints me. It is charming and intimate, away from tourist crowds and it offers real quality French food. Their 'formule entre+plat OR plat+dessert' at 18 euros is reasonally priced considering the high quality of their food, the technical ability in the preparation of their dishes and the presentation. The menu is not huge (good sign!) and the daily special has always been very good. Personnel is very helpful and knowledgeable about the food and the wine. Absolutely must visit this little restaurant when in Paris; they are in the 15th, so not too far away from the Eiffel Tower, but far enough not to have groups ruining your meal experience. They are next to a nice street (rue du Commerce) with many shops, so you have another reason for the detour. I go to the Cristal du Sel to relax and to taste great food with calm. Highly recommended.

Our three course meal at Cristal de Sel was excellent. The atmosphere in this small restaurant is warm and friendly with a buzz of conversation. We were pleased that we had booked the day before as the place seems very popular with locals. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English which was a great help. The menu has four to five choices for each course all of which sounded amazing. Our entrees of asparagus were exceptionally good - in fact we couldn't fault any of our dishes. Prices were reasonable and the wine list had an interesting selection range of prices, Highly recommended

A great little restaurant within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. The chef gives great attention to presentation detail and the staff is both helpful and charming.

Though we were staying near the Opera, based on numerous recommendations we made a detour to try this little bistro with its 18€ lunch for an appetizer and plate, plate and dessert, or plate with wine and coffee.

My husband had the plate of the day, guinea fowl with lentils and mushrooms with a glass of wine and coffee. I had the eggs mollet, a soft boiled egg on top of Jerusalem artichokes with a chestnut sauce -- absolutely spectacular!

On our second visit, my husband had an appetizer of shrimp, which were flavored with tandoori spices, wrapped in phyllo dough and served with a tandoori spiced tartar sauce, followed by the plat du jour of venison stew with a gratin of celeriac and potato. I again ordered the soft boiled egg but this time had a dessert of a crepe filled with sautéed apples.

There is an interesting wine line with numerous wines offered by the glass. The staff was friendly, attentive and professional. What more could one ask?

Just a pleasure to eat in this warm and friendly Parisian restaurant. While a limited menu can say each course was first class. As was the service. Compared to the "tres cher" very well known Basque restaurant in 75007 (you can guess which one) dinner at Cristal de Sel was a joy. Can recommend without any qualifications. Best to reserve in this small modern French bistro.
