“No room for dessert”
Reviewed June 7, 2012 via mobile

An excellent meal with very generous portions. Rib of beef and seabass were cooked to perfection and the welcome and attentive service exemplary.Would recommend. We were all very impressed on our first night in Paris.

“Unsuspected Gem!”
Reviewed May 23, 2012

This restaurant was very close to our hotel and we decided to give it a shot. What a nice surprise. The food (steaks) were very good, the staff was friendly and helpful and prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend it.

“What a gem!”
Reviewed May 18, 2012

La Vache Acrobate is a small restuarant on Rue Amelot close to the Marais, not far from Republique. The staff are very friendly and considerate. We dined there with Australian friends who spoke no French and they were delighted with the service, the food and the wine. The menu is uncomplicated and the servings are plentiful without being overwhelming. I had the grilled seabass served with a medley of green beans - asbolutely perfectly cooked and piping hot. The dessert fans were very happy with their cafe gourmand (tiny portions of several desserts). It's my 3rd time at this restaurant and I'm looking forward to the next time!!

“The best food we ate in Paris”
Reviewed May 5, 2010

We ended up here for a drink after finding the restaurant we were looking for shut down. While discussing our options, the waiter suggested we try their new summer menu. Frankly, the place looks more like a bar than a restaurant, but after some considerable deliberation we decided to give it a try. Were we ever glad we did. For starters, one of the group had a salad that was light, fresh and delicious. Two of us had what was advertised as Salmon Ceviche, but is actually more like a carpaccio. The salmon was thinkly sliced and sprinkled with a flavored oil (citrus) and red peppercorns. It was absolutely delicious! If I hadn't already ordered a main, I would have ordered another serving. For a main course, one of us had chicken breast in a creamy ginger sauce, which was good, but the standout dish was the steak tartare. I can't tell you how incredibly good it was. We have to thank the friendly, young waiter (he'd only been there for 3 weeks) for convincing us to eat there. The head waiter (or possibly owner) was also extremely friendly and joked with us throughout the meal. We were seated where we could see the chef at work in the small kitchen. He worked steadily and confidently throughout the dinner service and was totally in control of his space (he had no help!) While if Paris we ate at several other highly recommended restaurants, but frankly, this one beat them all hands down! Check it out!
