“Friendly brasserie in XV arrondissement”
Reviewed February 15, 2014

Au derniermetro is a friendly 'brasserie de quartier', i.e. where regular customers from the neighboorhood would come. Open late Food is quite decent, typical andouillettes and steak tartare, if I remember some basque specialities. Good quality without being outstanding or creative. The decor is pleasant and so is the service. Weather allowing, the terrasse is OK, though a bit noisy. It is located next to the metro stop Dupleix, that is one stop from the Tour Eiffel (Bir Hakeim). I would not advice to come from the over side of Paris to have lunch/ dinner there, but if around it is a very decent option.

“Not a couple bistro”
Reviewed October 29, 2013 via mobile

The two dishes we ask was not so great. The guys behind the bar and the one serving should be teach also a little bit of amability or at least seems they care a little bit about what them customers are saying

“Wonderful French meal”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

My friend brought me here for French food when I was visiting her in Paris. The décor is cool and the bar has a really buzzing atmosphere- it is obviously really popular. The only negative is that seating is a bit squished.
Service was wonderful- our waitress was polite and efficient, despite the bar being quite busy.
We had one of the platters to share and everything on it was totally delicious.
I would really recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun, French-feel evening.

“Decent Value”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Right across the street from the Metro stop, so it is very convenient. Our visit was over the summer, so we were able to sit at a table outside. To me, it seemed more like a bar with food rather than a bistro. Very lively, convivial atmosphere, with lots of people stopping after work for a drink. We stopped for drinks and then stayed for dinner. If you speak French, be sure to get the French menu as it has a separate sheet of handwritten specials that is not included in the English menu. The food was generally acceptable and reasonably priced, but there were a few misses (dry, overcooked steak, despite being ordered rare, and potatoes covered with a dried out layer of cheese). It was the most fun to just relax with a pichet of red and people watch at this very friendly, unpretentious and totally untouristy bar. I think it must get pretty boisterous here at night with a rugby game on, as there were signs on the window (in French) begging patrons not to sing or shout outside out of respect to the neighbors!

“Great bistro”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

Dropped in to Au Dernier Metro last night. Having been introduced to it by the legendary Parisian Gerry Collins in 2005 I always try to pop in when I am in Paris. It was as good as ever. The atmosphere is buzzing and there is a steady stream of locals pooping in for a drink or a bite to eat. The food is inspired by the South west of France. I had a drink at the bar and then was seated for my meal. The service is friendly, not always a given in Paris, and quick and my steak and chips hit the spot. The meal and 25cl carafe of red wine cost €25.90 which is fair value in Paris.
