“Excellent French food & wine at a great price”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

We found this place by chance & it was perfect for passing tourists to Paris like us ~ full of local people enjoying life. The owner used to be a wine salesman so he knows his stuff. Sit back, relax and follow his recommendations. And great value at €35 per head for all food and drink including beer wine and calvados.

“My awesome "local" in Paris”
Reviewed December 9, 2012 via mobile

This "resto zinc" is amazing! It attracts a great, sociable, smart group of Parisians. This is my go to spot for delicious comfort French food whenever I'm in Paris. The fun and worldly owner Yann (who speaks English) always has fresh, local, and tasty items on his menu. Always take his cheese recommendations (North Americans- please go out of your comfort zones)! His wine and whiskey knowledge is superb...and the liquid offerings list shows it!

This is a casual place to dine and relax or enjoy good conversation over a fab bottle of wine. The staff are pleasant and friendly (as are most of his clientele). Don't let the relaxed decor and style fool you- Yann is extremely detailed and ensures all the pieces are in place for an excellent visit. It does fill up here most nights, but just jump in, put on a smile, get a drink from the bar, and you'll get seated and fed before you know it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (I just hope I can always get in if it gets any popular!).

Reviewed September 27, 2012

We pick this place because it was close to our hotel and we find this place from Greece through trip advisor internet site considering the previous comments. Even though we don’t speak any France at all, waiter Flolo was extremely kind and translates the catalogue in English. Many thanks to flolo for her excellent service. The prices are normal for food and cheaper than other places for the wine. The place is full of young france people and it is not touristic (This is an advantage in order to get a true local experience). We strongly recommend this place ...

“Atypical wine bar with excellent selection of cheeses, cold cuts, etc.”
Reviewed May 6, 2011

This is one of the few places I try to hit every time I'm in Paris because I like to support this kind of project and mentality. The young and friendly owner makes it a point to choose high quality wines and food from small producers. The cheese, cold cuts, patés, etc. are delicious. I really appreciate the fact that the wines are served in real wine glasses, as opposed to numerous other "wine bars" in the city. The Sunday brunch also deserves special mention. Back in the day, this was one of the few places you could come on a Sunday where it was non-smoking. The only negatives are that in the evenings, it gets so crowded that somtimes you have to shout to be heard (victim of their well-deserved success!) and it still has an old Turkish toilet.
