“Just lovely”
Reviewed September 13, 2013 via mobile

I concur with all the other positive reviews--truly scrumptious food at reasonsble prices and the sweetest (and most competent) waitress you could possibly hope for. No one else has mentioned the decor so I'll say a bit about that. Very tight quarters but lovely atmosphere. The lights over the tables are upside-down white enamel colanders and the light coming through the holes makes the room sparkle. One wall is rustic whitewashed stone; the other is red brick. Other than these elements, there really isn't any decor per se, but what is there is warm and inviting and unpretentious.

“Little gem”
Reviewed September 6, 2013 via mobile

We were staying down the road from this restaurant and after having read about it on tripadvisor, wanted to give it a try. We were lucky to find space in this tiny restaurant. Food was excellent and very well priced. The egg with fois gras was divine. Duck, veal and beef were very tasty and came with a generous portion of veg. Finally the berry crumble pie with ice cream shared between us crowned the experience. Service was very good too. Highly recommended.

“my new favorite place in Paris”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

It is probably not wise to share this experience because the place is so small anyway. (yes, you literally sit at your neighbours table, so you should better not mind getting close to strangers. however, it can also be nice as during our dinner the guy at the next table celebrated his birthday and the whole restaurant ended up singing Happy Birthday to him.) But I would like to give praise to whom praise is due: the service was super friendly, attentive, funny and without being to pushy still gave the right recommendations. for example make sure you fit in the oeuf à la cocotte in your menu as it is the house's speciality. their tartines have creative toppings, the meat fried to perfection, the crumble to die for. the selection of wines small but covering all that is necessary. we had their cheapest bottle, a red from the Loire for EUR 20 and it was just the right wine for the occasion and very tasty. And on top of it, considering that you are just at the foot of Sacre-Coeur and in comparison with other restaurants in Paris, the prices are very reasonable. Without any doubt a place I will return to as often as I can.

This is a very small, cozy restaurant. There is not much room to more around. There is only one waitress/hostess in the front. Despite all these flaws, I have a very enjoyable dining experience. The wine is delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant specialty egg en cotta with foie gras was to die for if you like foie gras. My partner has the pear and cheese terrine which was equally good. I had the catch of the day and my partner had the steak for entree. Both were equally delicious. We did not try the dessert because we were very full!!
Highly recommended!!!

“Excellent food for a decent price”
Reviewed May 22, 2013 via mobile

First of all, Dont go here if you want privacy. The place holds roughly 20 people and the tables has to be pulled in and out to fit the people in :-)

Besides that the place has all the right ingrediants for a good restaurant experience; great food, tasty wine, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

The cooked lamb with thyme is highly recommended.
