We sat, in French style, at a table for six. The four adjoining were local workers, on the next table a group of business men. From upstairs it sounded like a Christmas "do". The place was simply thrumming, all the waiters moving back and forwards with stacks of dishes. The ones from the kitchen seemed impossibly filled with food. The ones returning we're empty, good signs. We could see into the kitchen from our table so we watched the chef single handedly cook and plate up. He was cool, unruffled and efficient.
As predicted the food came in copious quantities . The main was better than the starter; the dessert excelled the main and the total price was the best value we have ever experienced in Paris.
To boot, the staff were great. The owner came and chatted, and we passed a great lunchtime there.
The restaurant is central and easy to find.

We loved this casual but quaint restaurant during our recent trip to Paris. The staff were friendly and very helpful in helping us to decipher the French menu and were more than willing to answer any questions we had.
I food was simple but amazing and my partner spent the whole weekend wanting to go back to have the slow cooked beef dish he had. We ate in some more upmarket restaurants during our stay, however this was the meal that we enjoyed the most due to the relaxed atmosphere and great food.

This place is the very definition of a friendly restaurant! The place is filled with groups of friends, and everyone seems to be having a good time. Oh the decor isn't fancy, more like some countryside bistro in the heartland of France. But the place has an earnest atmosphere and you feel the smiles on the faces of the serving staff are genuine. Simple country cuisine at its best : tasty, hearty dishes in generous platefuls. Very good wine list. Prices are very easy on the wallet. This place has character, a good friendly buzz, and you're going to leave with a smile on your face and a plan to come back soon. Don't forget to bring a friend!

My wife and I and our 7 month old daughter went here for dinner. They were very accomodating of our baby and made room in the small dining room for our stroller. Eating here felt a little like going to someone's house for dinner. It's a small restaurant and they kept the front curtain closed over the front door. At first I found this strange but it created a very intimate setting in the dining room. The owner's dog greets everyone as they enter and mills about the dining room (although was never begging for food). The owner made us feel like an old friend who popped by for dinner. The food was great, the cold tomato soup with parmesan ice cream was unlike anything I've had before. The chocolate mousse was also really good. Highly recommend!

Found our way there, not really that hard to find. Had a booking for 8pm, it was raining and asked if we could come in out of the rain, they said they would open in 10 mins, we waited across the road under a part awning untill 8.00. We were quite wet, so if it is raining go to the Irish pub down the road and have a guiness untill the opening time. The food was very nice and the waiter was very helpfull, to much food to have desert. They have a small dog, so if you feel something between your legs, it is the dog looking for food. The waiter doesnt want him beeing fed, he begs all the time and he could explode. We did give him some food, well he has big brown eyes, what can I say.
