I ordered duck, and it was the consistancy of a bath toy. Our food came out cold, and the waiter was no where to be found. The parting shot was that he told us that his tip was not included in the bill. Perhaps it wasn't. But, if so, it was the only restaurant that did not include service in the bill.

Le Café de Paris is a gem, considering its amazing location: very close to the Musée d'Orsay, the Louvre, the Assemblée Nationale.

The food there is delicious, and the prices, though a bit expensive, remain good value considering the quality.

I highly recommend the scallops, either with mash potatoes or green beans. They are cooked simply and taste amazing, really smooth.

The deserts are also great, quite big portions though, which might infringe the rest of an afternoon full of visits. The apple tart is fabulous.

You can tell that this place is successful for good reasons because, despite the touristy location, most clients are locals, in particular a lot of art dealers who have galleries nearby.

Good food, lots of locals also. Nice place unlike other similar looking cafes on blocks around. This really is good place.

I wouldn't go here for dinner, but the lunch was nice. Their lamb shank was excellent.

My husband and I wanted to avoid the expensive hotel breakfast dining room, and happened upon Cafe de Paris at 8am. Despite its touristy name, it was terrific - 12.50 euros per person for good orange juice, hot coffee (not so fabulous but where DO you get a good cup of coffee in Paris), croissant, bread, butter, jam, and a choice of fried eggs (3) or an omelette with cheese and/or ham. And served almost immediately! The waiter was wonderfully Parisian - tall and mature and efficient, and wasn't about to unbend too much. We sat inside as it was a bit breezy. We loved it.
