small restaurant like in vietnam, small space like in vietnam, quite small price like in vietnam.
the food was good, you have a big choice of dishes the only problem is that you have to eat really close to others people and you almost don't have space to move or privacy to talk.I advice to book a table before cause it's full at every moment of the day.anyway try it! even if the service not so good.

If you are looking for a trendy, cheap and crowded hole-in-the wall serving mediocre Vietnamese food, look no further. It's always a bad sign when the only Asians in an Asian restaurant are the restaurant staff. And this is a Vietnamese restaurant located in one of Paris' numerous Chinatowns.

The starter consisted of a spring roll, which was served wrapped in plastic. Obviously a sign that the spring roll was not freshly made and a detail that contributed to the sparse service.

The beef bo bun was quite bland. Even the dipping sauces lacked the fishy kick that we are used to having from authentic Vietnamese restaurants.

What really annoyed me was that they were quite cheap with the tea. It's the first time I was served tea in an Asian restaurant by the glass! Normally, you order tea and it is served in a teapot. The place is small, noisy and jam-packed. We struggled to get the wait staff's attention to refill our tiny tea glasses.

The place is so smal and crowdedl that we had to ask 2 other diners who were seated to get up so that we could leave. We were seated at a small table against the far wall from the entrance.

The bill for two came to 28 euros, which is quite cheap but you get what you pay for: uninspired and bland food in a tiny and noisy restaurant with minimal service.

There are many other much more authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the area.

It's a restaurant the French love - probably it used to be very good and gained a great reputation. There is always a queue; sometimes you have to wait 30 mins to get a shared table. The cuisine is pretty good - they have Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai food and it's all decent quality. It's not pricey and you get fair sized portions and a long list to choose from. The good thing is that it's suitable for vegetarians: more than half of the menu is vegetarian and they even have 2 versions of the same dish if you want it with meat. Service is good, but there is little space and it's always very crowded. Would recommend it for a lunch out for 2 - more chance to find a place and easier to share the table.

I am a vegetarian and I love Asian food. I am alos a relatively poor post grad student! This is the only place I have found in Paris (and I lived there for many years) where I could find good cheap vegetarian Asian food (in this case Vietnamese). I love this place. The menu never changes but it has a big selection of vegetarian choices and the ingredients are really fresh. Try and come at opening 7 or 7 30 pm because the place is TINY and you have to queue and eat elbow to elbow with other people if you come any later. Thank god this place exists!
