Fellow travellers have said a lot on the great quality, which I cannot agree more. I would like to add icing on the cake in terms of quantity - for us, the portion is extremely generous. So unless you do have a large appetite, think about menus to share if you are in a group. They honestly put it down clearly that shared menu will be charged a la carte, which I think is more than fair given the large portion. The last thing I want is to leave delicious food wasted.

Tips: if you do not have a reservation, try to arrive early - this place filled up quickly after 8pm.

I highly recommend this charming and lovely restaurant. We visited Le Petit Baigneur on a Monday without having a reservation. It was quite full but we luckily got a table for four and had a deliciuous meal. We choose a 3 course menu very reasonably priced – 23.50 Euro a head plus wine. The food was very tasty, the atmosphere intimate and cozy and the service excellent.

Went on the strength of reviews on here and got our hotel to book a table.
Great value 3 course evening meal for 23.50 euros a head.
Very friendly and good service. Was given help with the menu.
Wel priced wines also
Despite being a Tuesday night the place was packed - which spoke volumes for this neighbourhood restaurant

Friendly staff, very reasonable prices (c 30 Euro per head for two courses, plus wine and water), and possibly the best-cooked fish I have ever eaten. It really is as good as everyone has been saying.

Every tourist wants to "discover" the neighborhood gem; the secret restaurant which gives you a reason to eat out and has the ability to surprise while retaining the familiarity of home-cooking. This is such a place. We heard about it on tripadvisor and with 3 teenagers in tow, headed there after a long day at Versailles. The owner / servers were warm and accommodating, patiently explaining the menu and specials and how you wrote out your order with pencil and pad. They recommended the house Beaujolais (absolutely delicious) which was served in a label-less bottle while we considered the bistro-fare. Everything we ordered was excellent, but ones that stood out were a house pate´served in a casserole dish (eat all you want!!), an outstanding beef casserole, and a "special of the day" whitefish. The tartins for dessert rounded off the meal perfectly. The bathroom had an amusing sign in French that I could get the gist of, but shouldn't repeat since I'm by no means fluent. All in all, we had a very enjoyable evening, and at the risk of turning this into a highly popular, reservations only restaurant, recommend it heartily to all.
