Nice, intimate neighborhood restaurant. My niece, who lives nearly, recommended it. Comments about the owner (followed by le petit chien!) running the whole show are right on! If you are looking for traditional (French-Swiss) savoy cuisine, you will find it here. Bring your appetite and a love of cheese here. If you are lactose-intolerant, an assortiment de charcutrie will please. Comments about this being a good fall-winter dining selection are also accurate. This is hearty food!

Then guy is sort of alone in the kitchen and does everything by himself. He only has some 12 tables, but serves them to the highest standard. We had the set menu entrree-plat-dessert and they were all excellent. At varying degrees of complexity the chef was able to astonish us with all the dished we were served. And we are not easy...
service is perfect and the interior design... well, this is not why you come here, is it?

My wife and I dined at La Grolle de Montmartre on Friday, March 19. The apartment owner that we were staying with in Montrmartre recommended this small, intinimte French Alps restaurant to us. Since it was right down the street we were staying on we decided to go on our last night in Paris. It is a small intimate fondue restaurant that serves up authentic French Alps recipes.

My wife had the French Onion Soup, with she loved. For me I had the charcuterie plate-very good. For mains my wife had the alpine baked chicken, which she enjoyed. I had the Tartifleutte- a baked casserole looking dish that has bacon, pototoes, in a white wine sauce covered in Rebluchon cheese which I enjoyed very much. For dessert we both had a nice creme brulee. The total bill, with a bottle of wine came to only 78 Euros. Well worth it in our opinion.

The owners were very cordial and helped with the service. They let us take pics of them together and their cute dog-CiCi- was wondering around the restaurant receiving little snacks from the guests. As charming and intimate a place as you could hope for. Will go back to La Grolle whenever we are back in Paris.
