“Wonderful Weekend Stay”
Reviewed August 29, 2009

I am was really happy with our stay at Hotel Le Six. I was conveniently located between three metro stops and was easily identified on the side street. The staff was welcoming and allowed us to check-in early after our journey. They were courteous and incredibly helpful in making recommendations and reservations. The included breakfast can even be enjoyed in your room. The rooms themselves were beautiful, spacious and most importantly immaculately clean. I definitely recommend them!

My husband and I just stayed at the Hotel Le Six for five nights, and we loved it. While this boutique hotel is quite lovely all on its own, the exceptional, friendly staff make it even more so. First, however, I'll comment on the rooms.

We stayed in a suite, which is a nice size and is well-appointed in a contemporary style. We like the suite because it has a door separating the livingroom from the bedroom (we don't always wake up at the same time, so this configuration afforded us a bit more shut-eye if one of us were up and about). If this isn't a concern, however, the junior suites are very nice, as well, but don't have the separating door. We didn't see any other rooms, so we can't comment. The bathrooms have a large tub and large walk-in shower, all surrounded by brownish marble. The hotel offers Moulton Brown toiletries - a nice touch. The rooms are large by Parisian standards, but well-priced. They are likewise a comfortable size by North American standards.

There are many restaurants and shops near the hotel, but to access most tourist sites requires about a 10-minute metro ride. The metros are located very close to the hotel, so it's no problem. Also, the hotel staff are excellent at giving directions (whether you're traveling by foot, metro, or bus), so you're sure not to get lost.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Le Six, especially because the staff is so exceptional. They are competent, friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable - absolutely top-notch (and we're not easy customers to please!). It felt like coming home whenever we returned to the hotel from a day's excursion. Staff members go out of their way to help solve any problems you might encounter (problems that will likely be of no relation to the hotel). They really do go above and beyond to make your stay special and easy.

I had a massage at the spa on the lower level, and highly recommend it. The rooms have a soothing East Asian contemporary vibe to them and, apparently, there's even a hammam (although I didn't try it).

All in all, we highly recommend Hotel Le Six. The only suggestion for improvement I could make is for the hotel to offer room service. Otherwise, we highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Paris!

We chose Le Six based on the Tripadvisor reviews we had read and we were extremely pleased with our choice. In brief, it is a stylish hotel with exceptional staff and is in a fantastic location. We could safely recommend it to even the most discerning traveller.

The public rooms and bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished in a contemporary style. The bathrooms are spacious, luxurious and spotlessly clean. All staff are very pleasant and helpful, especially in liaising with our taxi company for our return journey to the airport.

It is also in a great location, only 2 minutes walk from 3 Metro stops serving the main lines across Paris and 5 minutes walk from the Opentour bus stop. This makes it very easy to visit all the sites across the city. Le Six is situated in a quiet peaceful street making it a relaxing place to stay and yet the surrounding streets are filled with upmarket restaurants and bars and a wide selection of shops. It has a lively, pleasant ambiance both during the day and in the evening.

We would definitely stay here again.

We arrived very early and they allowed us to check-in prior to their usual check-in time. Any requests that we had were fulfilled without any problems. The entire staff, from the concierge to the bartender and wait staff, was very friendly and accomodating. The only thing I would improve upon would be having fans or air conditioning in the fitness area. Overall, we had an incredible time there.

My husband and I loved our stay at Le Six. The rooms were well appointed, beds very comfortable and a decent size considering how small European hotel rooms can be. The hotel is very chic and decorated in a eclectic way. Staff was very helpful and polite, always greeting you as you walked to and fro from the hotel. The bathroom had the biggest shower I've ever seen in Europe and looked newly renovated!

The location is excellent with the Metro stop a block away and several historical icons within walking distance. Plenty of shops as well are in the area and lots of cute bistros...

The breakfast, which was included in our price, was very yummy with tons of options, though I think just going out for a crossaint in the morning is a better way to experience the city!

After a previous enjoyable stay here last month, we were looking forward to another couple of days at Le Six. It didn't live up to expectations. The room we were allocated was tiny and claustrophobic overlooking the central vent shaft. When we pointed this out, one of the receptionists agreed that he would change our room the following day. The wireless didn't work. The next day, the receptionists were rude and combatitive. They wanted us to pay for an 'upgraded' room but eventually agreed to change it free of charge. Their attitude left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. After that, they barely acknowledged us as we went through reception. The new room had some issues with it but we did't bring them up as we did not feel able to. We will not be returning here which is a shame as I had previously recommended this hotel so highly. More Hotel Le Stress than Le Six.

We had a great stay at Hotel Le Six. We arrived at about 9:00am from San Diego and were checked into our rooms immediately (thanks Morgan!!). The lobby area is all done in red and is quite stunning. The staff were all friendly and helpful with recommendations for food and train/metro information. Rooms small but lovely - nice sized bathrooms and very clean and modern. Location is excellent - close to metro, restaurants and shoppping. If you have a fun sense of humor - use the "other" elevator once in a while. Would totally stay there again - loved everyone who was on staff during our trip - Audrey was a complete doll and the young Italian gentleman (so sorry - his name escapes me, which is a total shame because he gave us the best recommendations and help!!!) spent plenty of time helping us and even serving up some drinks! Can't say enough about the staff!

Suggestions:
Bring conditioner or go to the nearest Pharmacie for it - the hotel does not provide it (at least not in our room)
Bottled water and wine can be bought by turning left outside of the hotel to the end of the block, then left again - a natural food store is right there and has good prices - 3 minute walk.
Cafes, restaurants and metro stops are to the right - 5 minute walk.
Use the Metro and bus - super easy - mobilus pass is the way to go for a day of sightseeing - 5.90 Euro for all day, bus and metro lines anywhere in the city.
Breakfast at the hotel is 22 Euro - we ate down the street for much less. Drinks at the hotel are costly too, but we had a few anyway!!

Would totally stay there again!
