Stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights while on my honeymoon. We enjoyed our stay very much- a lot of nice touches with eager, helpful and polite staff.
The staff (that can speak english) are friendly and really quite excellent- a level of service that almost rivals hotels like King George V/ Four seasons. Everyone greets you on sight, reception staff remember your name etc.
Angela the receptionist (? at least i think she's a receptionist) was really MOST EXCELLENT and bent over backwards to help us secure nice restaurants all over paris. ALL hotels need someone like her who knows her food scene intimately well! :)
One or two staff in the evenings and early mornings that dont speak english so well, but are very friendly still and i got around that with babelfish translator. ( provided of course with the free WIFI.
- most excellent location, situated a stone's throw between two different metro lines, getting anywhere at all was a breeze, not to mention the endless choices of eating places nearby, this hotel was a real gem for location. The surrounding area is generally well lit and feels safe as there's pedestrian traffic nearby at all times of the day.
General hotel environs and rooms.
Did i mention FREE WIFI? :)
Decor is nicely done and tasteful, fun without being garish. Hotel and rooms are neat and extremely clean. There are two lifts- the service lift is roomier and actually runs faster than the guest lift.
Rooms are not the largest around, but big enough with a VERY comfortable king sized bed. Decor in the rooms is again very tasteful and decently lit.
The amenities are excellent and we liked the provided slippers, the little chocolates left in our room every day by room service, an iron and ironing board, slippers, shoe cloths- the hotel seems to have thought of everything.
Room service is provided up to 11pm daily by the L'Atlier restaurant nearby, but the resturant itself is 2 mins walk away and open 24 hours, not to mention about 10 euros cheaper than the room service. So why bother?
Breakfast is great and has a wide spread BUT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE HOTEL PRICE. Be careful of that! If its not included its something like 20 euros per person, which is a bit pricey considering I can get a good crepe outside for 10-15 euros.
In summary, a very nice boutique hotel with most excellent staff and a lot of very thoughtful touches. Slightly on the pricey side, once you count in the cost of breakfast, but I'd be more than willing to stay here again for the most excellent service and well kept rooms.
