Description: Pomze restaurant just minutes from Paris’ grands boulevards and the Place St-Augustin is all about apples. From the moment you step into the bar and sample one of the 30 ciders or the house-made Nayade cocktail (Granny Smith plus Polish vodka), you will enter a world where Eve’s fruit is the centre of the universe. The first floor restaurant, with its Haussmannian proportions, is smartly decorated in modern style – with apple-themed art -- and sectioned into intimate dining spaces. Or enjoy the ambience of the stone cellar with its cider bottle décor. Seasonally-changing dishes include pommeau-marinated wild boar terrine with apple and chestnuts, or scallop risotto with pumpkin, apple and fig chutney. Wines are served here, too, and there’s a gourmet shop so you can share the experience at home.

“What a nice surprise”
Reviewed January 18, 2014

At the first floor of a bar and shop where everything turns around apples.
Very fine food, served with matched apple ciders. Special but great mix between fruits and cheese for exemple. Every plate nicely arranged. Delicious for the eyes and mouth.
Little setback, the service done by a nice young team but with limited french or english talents

“Overall very good. not too pricey”
Reviewed December 16, 2013

This was a good find. Smooth and good service. Food A-plus for taste. Some of the plating could be a little better. But overall a very nice place, at a good price point, definitely much better than the average. I would go back.

“Good atmosphere and food!”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

When you enter this restaurant from the street level and it looks like a conventional road-facing bistro, but once you are taken upstairs the atmosphere changes and you find yourself in a lovely room full of apple-inspired pictures and decorations (apples and ciders are the theme of the place).
At some point a piano player started to play and it surely added something to the place - I would recommend it for couples who want to spend a romantic evening in Paris, even if it's not too "private".
The menu is not immense, but very interesting. I had the crab ravioli as entrée which tasted very good, and for cider lovers this is paradise!
The only negative note is on the service which was very professional indeed, but definitively too quick in serving the dishes.

“An apple orchard in the center of Paris?”
Reviewed November 7, 2013

Brilliant! An absolutely love treat for your tastebuds! Every plate has some accent of apple, whether sliced, pureed, infused or liquored. Seasonal creations -- all very tempting. Minimalist ambiance with refined and decorative food preparations. The focus here is definitely on the menu! Would highly recommend.

“Amazing Experience”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

Food was brilliant and the ciders were perfectly suited. Make sure you choose the Cider taster option where the staff decide the best cider for your course.
