Description: Pomze restaurant just minutes from Paris’ grands boulevards and the Place St-Augustin is all about apples. From the moment you step into the bar and sample one of the 30 ciders or the house-made Nayade cocktail (Granny Smith plus Polish vodka), you will enter a world where Eve’s fruit is the centre of the universe. The first floor restaurant, with its Haussmannian proportions, is smartly decorated in modern style – with apple-themed art -- and sectioned into intimate dining spaces. Or enjoy the ambience of the stone cellar with its cider bottle décor. Seasonally-changing dishes include pommeau-marinated wild boar terrine with apple and chestnuts, or scallop risotto with pumpkin, apple and fig chutney. Wines are served here, too, and there’s a gourmet shop so you can share the experience at home.

Pomze is somewhere I would recommend to anyone wanting a meal that is consistently good, with good service and great value for money.

The restaurant is apple themed - every dish has apple in there somehow! The food is very well presented and also very tasty. The menu is frequently changed and offers a wide variety of choice to cover most tastes.

The tasting menu is priced at 34 Euros for a starter + main course + dessert, and for 14 Euros they offer a cider tasting from their large menu of various ciders.

On occasions (yet to work out the schedule) they have a pianist playing which definitely adds another element to the atmosphere.

Overall, a very nice restaurant that offers great food and incredible value for money when you consider some of the other restaurants nearby that are >4* on here!

Just managed to squeeze in a last meal here before catching a flight. The restaurant is of course themed around apples, with every dish containing apples in some form. There is also an interesting carte de cidres and a wine list should you prefer.
We were anticipating a good meal but not an extraordinary one as the prices were very reasonable. However the meal was stunning. I started with crispy king prawns and my husband had the veloute of mussels. Both were excellent. The pastry was light and crispy, the prawns flavoursome, the sauce had good depth of flavour and complemented the prawns.
We both had the duck to follow: This dish managed to provide a panoply of flavours all combining well with interesting textures to really produce a very good dish. Dessert was baked apple in pastry with caramel. Everything we ate was expertly considered and produced.

There are a number of rooms with small collections of tables in each, but all have a window with alternate views as the restaurant is at the end of the building. The atmosphere and decor is unpretentious, yet comfortable.

Service was as you would wish it. In all would go there again and again if I could.

My wife and I had an elegant lunch here. The crowd was mostly well-dressed business people without obvious tourists. The staff spoke good English and did a nice job. I had the prawn appetizer and my wife had foie gras (both had supplemental charges over set price). The presentation was stunning and both courses were excellent. I had duck breast and my wife had Guinea fowl for the main courses. The duck tasted good, but as in other restaurants this trip it was slightly overcooked. The guinea fowl was delicious. The chocolate fondant dessert was fine. My wife ordered cheese (another supplemental charge) and we concluded that it was best to skip the cheese option. It came out way too cold and she did not eat much of it. They quite generously removed this charge from the bill. I liked the cider pairings, but they were not really selected specifically to go with what I ate. I know this because the dessert cider came out before I ordered dessert. I assume the cider would vary between a chocolate dessert (which I had) and a tart citrus dessert. All told a nice meal

Went here with some colleagues from work after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed!

The restaurant is spread acrosss a number of rooms above a gourmet apple shop - we were in a small room with 4 tables, the largest room had a piano with a pianist playing through the evening. The food was excellent both in taste and presentation - we all had 3 courses each after a delightful amuse bouche whilst we were deciding! The flambéed panackes also when down very well for desert! The wine choice is good and reasonable - we shared a nice bottle of Chablis. Total cost was €50 each - excellent value.

Will definately revisit when next in Paris!

Paris has been experiencing a gastronomic renaissance in the last few years, with lots of great little places with inventive cuisine and excellent service, popping up across all arrondisements. Pomze epitomizes the best of this culinary boom. The menu is concise but provides enough choices to every taste - gambas, foie-gras, filet de boeuf, salmon, risotto, cheese fondant etc. Apple is a hero ingredient - in all dishes, in interior, in a vast selection of cidres. Service is fast, efficient and attentive - bi-lingual French and English. And it's a great value by Parisian standards - all in all 70 Euro pp for 3 courses and wine.
