On the final night of our annual city trip to Paris we went to Maison Blanche, on the recommendation by our hotel (Champs-Elysees Plaza). The restaurant is based in an old theatre and arguably has one of the finest views of Paris. In summer it is even better, since you eat out on the terrace where a view on the illuminated Eiffel tower is also available.
We had the 6-course Degustation menu which was excellent. Very well prepared and quite tasty. The only (slight) dissonant was the (young) female sommelier. I think she meant well but reacted somewhat stiffly when I asked if she could recommend a wine arrangement, since we had 6 courses. This was clearly something she was not used to. However, the wines I then picked myself were rather good, and that is what it's all about: a nice Meursault and half a bottle of red Vosnes-Romanee.
The pricing is rather steep (EUR 684 for the 4 menus and the wines) but hey, you're out in Paris and you have this great view!
