“Good Value, Good Food”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

Nice to not have options when traveling sometimes! The celery soup was delicious, osso bucco was OK, but not our favorite. Loved the cheese and dessert courses as well. Cozy restaurant, but mostly Americans. We were basically seated with another couple (American, great to talk to!) but was hoping for a bit more privacy. Maybe an inch between our tables. Really liked having the chef come out and chat with us. Great location near our hotel.

“Memorable dining experience”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Les Papilles, which we chose based on Tripadvisor reviews. We were greeted by the chef and served a delicious cauliflower soup, a cassoulet, cheese course, and pana cotta for dessert. Accepted guidance on wine selection. Enjoyed dinner conversation with the adjacent table. A little tough to get to on a Saturday night from the other side of the Seine - required 3 different subway trains but it was worth the effort! A very good value for a memorable Parisian dining experience - good food, wine, conversation.

“one of our best meals in Paris”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

The owner, Bertrand Bluy, really went out of his way to accommodate our travel time frame. We ended up eating lunch at this charming restaurant and had we more time would have gone back for dinner.

The restaurant is small and charming. My husband and I immediately felt relaxed. We both chose the four-course meal and were more than satisfied with each delicious morsel.

It was certainly one of the best meals we ate in Paris.

“A Must Visit Spot”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

I went to Les Papilles for dinner and I must say it was a great experience. The restaurant is vibrantly decorated and tight knit. The first thing I would say is to definitely make reservations before you visit, or have your hotel concierge make them for you upon arriving.

The menu was a 4 course prix fixe that changes daily. You don't have an option unless you are a vegetarian or have certain food allergies and they will accommodate that. The staff was friendly and spoke English well. The owner and head chef Bertrand Bluy was on site and visited each table to welcome them and explain the meal thoroughly. That was a very nice touch. They have a wine cellar in addition to a wine rack on the wall that you can pick your bottle directly off of (or Bertrand will kindly recommend a good wine to pair with the meal should you not have a solid handle on wine). That is an additional charge to the prix fixe menu.

The meal was outstanding. We had a carrot soup, which was the best dish I had during my visit to Paris, as our appetizer, followed by an osso buco main course, a prune and bleu cheese course after that followed by a panna cotta dessert. It was a memorable meal for sure. I would highly recommend this if you want the feel of classic french cuisine with a slight twist of new wave preparation.

“Good food & friendly chef.”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

It was a 4 course fixed menu. Everyone ate the same thing. Your only option is what wine you want with dinner. The food was good but if you are lactose intolerant, like my husband, this place is probably not for you. They were wonderful in tiring to accomadate his allergy but he missed out on a great meal because of it. Instead of a wonderful sweet potato soup, he had a green salad, and for dessert, instead of pistachio pane cotta, he got a orange and grapefruit gelatin.
