“Mr OHara”
Reviewed February 25, 2014 via mobile

This meal was brilliant. The set menu was absolutely amazing and the portions were surprisingly big.

Went here for my girlfriends birthday and we would certainly return next time in Paris.

Be prepared to pay around 40 euros for a bottle of wine, although it is very nice.

Set menu was 35 euros but very good value for the amazing three courses included

“Arrive with a good appetite!”
Reviewed February 24, 2014

We very much enjoyed our experience here. We were greeted very warmly on arrival and, once settled at our table, Bertrand came over to tell us what we would be eating that evening (no choices here, everyone eats the same). Also, we were invited to choose some wine from the large selection on the walls. Although some of the wine is very pricey we were very happy with a bottle of burgundy that came to 37 euros, including the corkage.

The food arrived at the table with further explanations regarding what it was and how to eat it. The courses came along at a leisurely pace. As we were the first people to have arrived, we were not hurried along at all, giving other arrivals a chance to catch up, perhaps. This gave us plenty time to appreciate the quite unique surroundings.

The restaurant soon filled up, upstairs and downstairs with a lovely hum of people enjoying themselves and their food.

Our total bill was 107 euros for our four courses and wine. At the end of the evening we felt we had eaten extremely well in a very friendly atmosphere. Just what we wanted!

“Delightful place for basic meal.”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

This charming spot offers a delicious lunch menu that is on the button with price and food. The wait staff is both friendly and attentive. The food has a homemade quality to it that fills your belly and makes you feel good. The tight quarters are somewhat disconcerting as my elbow was never more than 6 inches from the chap who sat next to me at the other table. Other than this squeezed eating format, the food was delicious and the venue interesting

“Great meal in a cozy place”
Reviewed February 21, 2014

No matter what it takes, you must come here. You do not get to pick your meal and there is a wall of wonderful wine to choose from. The tables are that of a typical French restaurant and are close together but provide an intimate, comfortable dining experience. The staff has a unique way of making you feel special upon entering the restaurant and although everyone in the restaurant gets the same dishes, they still manage to make you feel like you are having something different. The night we went, we has a pumpkin soup with roasted chestnuts, bacon, croutons, carrots, parsley and topped with creme fraise. The portion was very generous. After, the most delicious beef stew Ive ever eaten was served with roasted vegetables. There was no need for a knife for the beef because it was cooked so well and melted in your mouth. I would say this is proof that there is great beef in France. Blue cheese with a prune cooked in Burgundy red wine followed for the cheese course and was exceptional. For dessert, cooked pears topped with a vanilla custard cream and topped with a salted butter caramel foam. The meal was paired with a nice bottle of wine which was fairly priced and made the evening memorable.

“Best food i've ever had!”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

We went to this restaurant on Valentines Day. The restaurant is very small and so you will be sat very close to the couple next to you, but it didn't bother us much.
The menu was set for us, something I was a little apprehensive about, however the Chef couldn't have put a better menu together!
The food was incredible, one of the best meals I have ever had out. 10/10 and If i ever find myself in Paris again I will definitley be returning!
