“Small friendly off the main street restaurant”
Reviewed May 24, 2014

Very friendly staff went out if their way to accommodate our non French speaking group with large bags and appetites. Small tables with padded stools below a sign recommending that we eat well to reduce the chances of being kidnapped. Duck was slightly overcooked and vegetables could have been mashed with a cheap plastic fork. Everything else was excellent including the desserts & wine. £25/person plus drinks.

“Excellent restaurant, perfect service”
Reviewed December 7, 2013

The food is simple yet delicious. Staples of French cuisine cooked to perfection with excellent ingredients. The choice of wine is excellent to suit every meal you could have and the homemade desserts are just delicious.
What is also a great plus for this restaurant is the staff: kind and helpful but not overbearing.
Highly recommended.

Food was decent but far from exciting. Unfortunately, the place had a terrible smell, and isnt quite reffined. Would not recommend

“Small and perfectly formed”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

This is a delightful small Parisian bistro set on a quiet square in the Porte de Saint Cloud area in the south west suburbs.
Straightforward and unpretentious is how I found the restaurant and the food that they offered - while the "Les Caves" in the restaurant name is taken very seriously, with a wide range of wines on offer, stacked on display shelves around the walls of the restaurant.
I had the "Camembert Roti" for my first course, feeling the need for something warm and filling on a cool evening - perfectly cooked and conveniently served with a spoon to aid consumption!
I followed with the "Supremes de Poulet Poeles", which was perfectly cooked Chicken breast, served with saute potatoes and a delicious Morilles sauce. I could not resist the creme brulee de maronnes to finish. All the dishes were served on slates.

Good food, service with a smile and (for Paris) reasonable prices. You could do a lot worse than spend an evening here...

“Great start to a weekend”

Just arrived with friends, chose a restaurant near hotel from Trip Advisor and were really pleased with the atmosphere, the friendliness, the food and the value for money. Very French, very relaxed but excellent evening.
