This is a small but beautiful little restaurant. Very friendly people and although they had little English and we little French communication was so pleasant and willing it was no problem. Asian influences on French food was a fantastic combination. We had fish dishes thar were terrific. Not cheap but excellent value. The crap appetizer with grapefruit and Asian spice is not to be missed. The service was attentive, pleasant and prompt.

My husband and I went here regularly when we were newly
engaged and living in Paris twenty years ago. I returned to it recently with our daughter and found it as wonderful as it was back then. The Franco-Japanese menu offers refreshingly novel choices, each with the kind of distinctive, subtle flavors that can derive only from fresh ingredients and a highly skilled chef. It's possible to order half portions, so diners have the opportunity to sample several entrees at a sitting. The service is warm and discreet. An enduring favorite.

We went on a Friday night based on the recommendation of a friend. I have been living in Paris for one month and have had quite a few disappointing meals. Most frequently, my meal is good, but nothing special. The chef at Les Cartes Postales executed everything on each plate perfectly. This meal surpassed any I have had in the last month by leaps and bounds. The menu is mainly French cuisine, with a little Japanese influence. The flavors are spot on as is the technique. I will definitely be back to visit soon!

The only remotely negative thing I have to say about the place is that the ambiance was a bit sad. It was Friday night and only 1/2 of the 7 or so tables in the restaurant had people at them. More people must go here!! The service was kind and friendly. The waitress was definitely helpful. Thank you for an excellent meal!

We found this place one night as we were walking around the area. It is a French Japanese style restaurant with only 6 tables. We had the carpaccio Japanese style which was thinly sliced raw fish in (i think) mirin wine and vinegar with finely shredded seaweed which was excellent, and terrine foie gras. For mains we had ravioli with langoustine which was similar to a wonton and also included deep fried langoustine wrapped in fine noodles, and panfried sole. Servings were large so we shared a dessert of the day - pineapple panna cotta.

We would recommend this restaurant as it's quiet and has a cosy atmosphere. Food was also original and delicious. Service was friendly as well. Total bill came to €120 for two with a half bottle of wine and drinks, which while being on the cheap side, I thought was value for money because the food was good quality, tasty and servings relatively large.
