There are a few locations of this iconic steak frites joint, we visited the one in St Germain and had a wonderful dinner. The decor is not the point (it's generic brasserie, nothing fancy) and you will likely encounter a line (no reservations) but SO worth it. They only serve one thing: green salad (with delicious tangy mustard vinaigrette) and the best steak frites you'll likely encounter anywhere. It's a delicious cut of (I think) ribeye with a green peppercorn sauce that my sister and I would've slurped right off the plates if we could have! They bring you two servings of the steak, and a refill on the frites. Absolutely delicious, and a great dessert menu to top it all off. A great experience.

We've heard about the long queue do we arrived earlier around 6.30pm to avoid the long wait. The food was served within 15mins as soon as we're asked about our preference on how the beef steak would be cooked (rare, medium, well done). The steak was decently prepared with a very nice greenish sauce. Didnt order any desserts but we were full and satisfied. Paid around ?60. Very packed with long queues still when we left at 8pm.

Chose this restaurant based on reviews and the long lines that we'd seen outside every night. Expected a classy, traditional French eatery but found a loud "food hall" environment serving only steak and French fries, "off a conveyor belt". Although surprised, we enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. The only choice we had to make was how we wanted the steak done and which type of wine we wanted. There was a mix of tourists and natives dining there at the same time. The prices were very reasonable and the fact that you didn't need a reservation a plus. This was a fun experience and we would recommend it to those who are looking for something quick and simple.

No choice - just wonderful after a long day walking - perfect crisp salad followed by great steak & chips. Atmosphere buzzy.
