Description: RECH, ALAIN DUCASSE’S SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IN PARISMore than just a seafood restaurant, Rech is an institution dating back to the 1920s and taken over by Alain Ducasse in 2007.It is a must of the capital’s restaurants with its elegant décor and prime location in the heart of Paris’s 17th arrondissement, just minutes from the Arc de Triomphe and Place de l’Etoile. Delicious cuisine from the sea with a hint of Mediterranean traditions, the finest ingredients, ideal pairings, clearly the height of good taste. Young chef Adrien Trouilloud’s talents combine exquisitely with Jacques Maximin’s creative impulse. Discover the dishes that have made the restaurant famous, such as its Grenobloise-style SKATE fish or the pan-seared line-caught SOLE, sautéed baby potatoes. Or make your selection for the finest tailor made seafood platter, and take it away.

This is one of Alain Ducasse's restaurants in Paris and what impressed me most was the attention to detail in the food. The presentation of the dish, the colors and texture not to mention the taste were first class. I had the Brill which is a fish that is not well known and yet has a very balanced texture and taste. I did find the service a little slow but I guess this is the price you pay for success on a Saturday night.

An extraordinary restaurant that justifies having survived since 1925. The service is excellent (if a little pompous) and the ingredients could not be more fresh! Try the crustacean platter (langoustines, brown shrimp, pink shrimp and crayfish) or, for a little meat, the fricassee of chicken and crayfish.

Go upstairs to visit the toilet and you walk through the kitchen! Amazing!

If you go, plan to spend at least 100 Euros per person, if you go easy on the extensive wine list. The Dover sole is only available for two persons @ Euros 108 but is INCREDIBLE! This is one of my favorite fish and I've eaten it around the world but this sets a new standard. Also try the crab salad appetizer, also spectacular. And if you have room after that feast the coffee XXL eclair is delicious and ample enough for four.

We were staying around the corner, and walking by this every day, we knew we had to eat here. We weren't disappointed. We had the five course meal, and each course was excellent.
