We dined here tonight October 21. We came into the restaurant and were told and hour wait. When we came back an hour later the wait was a half hour additional. The food was adequate but nothing better. I asked clearly if it was possible to substitute a vegetarian option for the formula. I was told yes (I speak clear French). Then the bill came and the soupe and vegetarian plate were charged separately. What's worse, the worst attitude I've encountered and the subpar food. You are what give the French their bad name.

Went here in June with a party of 6 - had a fabulous time between the eclectic decor, terrific food, and (perhaps unique to this night) a roaming singer. A fun place.

This has become our new favorite restaurant in Paris. The decor is eclectic with its own charm. The staff is friendly and helpful and, especially for Paris, pleasant and efficient. The tables were good-sized and one did not feel on top of fellow diners. The food was SUPER. The duck with chocolate sauce that I ordered was exquisite, the husband of the couple we were traveling with had pork cheek that was sublimely tender and tasty. Our wives both had fish which was equally as good. For dessert I had the best apple tart tartin I have ever had, the other gentleman had a luscious "After Eight" sundae (mint chocolate chip ice cream, creme de menthe, and chocolate sauce) and the two ladies have first-class sorbets. We had excellent and modestly-priced house wines suggested by our server.

It was our last night in Paris after spending a month near Rue Mouffetard. We walked in without reservations on a Sunday night and were seated in the only table available, near the door. The food was fine, French, and good value. Live entertainment was a drag queen singing American show tunes. The 25 Euro bottle of Chardonnay was outstanding. The waiter was haughty but that seemed appropriate. Atmosphere was just perfect. Could not have hoped for a more fitting end to a serendipitous journey.

This was one of ou favorite meals in Paris. We were served duck with a wonderful chocolate sauce. Everything else was delicious as well. We had early reservations. The service was pleasant and attentive, the atmosphere romantic.
