Description: AMBIANCE BISTROT - Attention, institution du cinquième arrondissement !

We really enjoyed our meals here. Most of us had fish which were all very good . Nice portions paired with perfect sides. Good wine list friendly service. We will have this on our list when we come back to Paris.

This one of those places which were once normal for Paris/France.......nothing really special in any sense but good old homemade kitchen in a non-fancy atmosphere .Unfortunately even the prices are "normal" for Paris . Having a piece of oven-made chicken with a bit smashed potatoes for more than 20 € let you, if you should make that at home for 3 €.........
Sure, you'll not have the friendly service who brings you the things to the table !The look of the pace would be today called Retro, but probably it was always like this which is better than fake yesterdays .....as some tourists from certain countries love ........
Is it romantic ? What is romantic ? If you bring the romantic, you'll find it !New love, old love....

What can be said that hasnt been said before? Le Petit Pontoise is the restaurant you come across that you deserve on your holiday. Its severely relaxed and achingly French. We live in London by try to make it here at least 2 or 3 times a year just to wallow in its french perfection.
I could go on and on about the restaurant but instead ill just say:
Order the Foie Gras
Order the Escargot Casolette
Order the Camembert and Honey
Oh and make a reservation, its really tiny.

Hope this helps!

The food was good but the service was really rushed and the different courses came too quickly (couple of minutes) after another although I specifically asked for some time in between as they were eager to sell my table to next guests. Many tourists and very few french people.

I took my mother here to experience a traditional French meal in a small restaurant. We had a delightful evening. The staff were wonderfully friendly and the food delicious. Highly recommended for a relaxing evening of traditional French cuisine.
