“Great restaurant!”
Reviewed January 12, 2014 via mobile

Small little place with amazing service and great food! Our last dinner in paris and thats one of the few dishes i remember. Service was great, the ladies there kept making sure we were happy with our food and made you feel comfortable and right at home. Loved our food, loved the place, loved the service. Highly recommend. Reservations are always recommended for anything you do specially restaurants at least a day in advanced!! :)

“Excellent meal and atmosphere!”
Reviewed January 4, 2014 via mobile

My family visited 01/02/14 for an anniversary dinner while in Paris. Le P'tit Troquet was everything we wanted it to be. It is a tiny restaurant with delicious food, warm and gracious staff and great wine. By far the best meal we have had in Paris in the three times we have been in as many years. I highly recommend it!

“What a let-down”
Reviewed January 3, 2014 via mobile

Surprisingly disappointing. Whereas I can see how the seemingly neat interior and pretend wholesome food would convey a 'French' feel, the lady in charge however, appears uncomfortable - to say the least - with Parisians. She smiles at tourists for whom the restaurant's reasonable prices undoubtedly mean a welcome break from the capital's higher fares but this is not a locals' place. Rather a would-be typical bistrot/simple-restaurant where the staff is stiffled and the welcome charmless. The city offers several more genuine better alternatives - at comparable rates.

“Lovely meal with wonderful service.”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

My family of four stopped in here for an evening meal without reservations. The hostess greeted us with a fully booked evening but made room for us at a reserved table (she made sure to ask us if we would be finished in 1 1/2 hours).

My daughters ordered the mains only while my husband and I had the 3 course menu which we were able to select from the daily offerings or off the menu.

For starters we had the salad with cheese ravioli. It was presented beautifully and the teeny ravioli's had been sauteed until toasty. Very yummy. For the main course we had duck confit which was delicious!! It was served with mashed potatoes and some greens. It was cooked perfectly with a few crisp bits on the outside and a melt in your mouth flavor. The other mains were a Beef Bourguignon and a seafood dish of scallops/salmon/monkfish served in a tomato base. All presented gorgeously and very tasty. For dessert we shared an almond tart of apples and pears alongside an almond and oil ice cream and a pear crumble. Both dishes were excellent!

Having read a few negative reviews I did not know what to expect as I know sometimes "stuff happens". We decided to give it a chance based on the positive reviews and the gorgeous photos of the food. We really are glad that we did!

By the way, the prices are really good for the quality of food and service. It is a tiny little place so the next time we are in town I would probably call for a reservation.

“Lovely small bistro”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

We had a celebratory dinner at this tiny bistro on Rue de l'Exposition. We enjoyed the prix fixe menu selecting foie gras and escargot en croute for the first course, and lamb shank, flank steak, and guinea fowl for entrees. All were done beautifully. Desserts were pear tart, chocolate mousse, and chocolate cake. All were delicious and decorated with husk tomatoes, which we learned are part of the nightshade family, and are a cross between tomato and lemon. The staff speak English, but the bistro doesn't feel like a tourist "hangout." Menus are available in French and in English. We look forward to a return visit on a future trip to Paris.
