I will never criticise the small but perfectly presented courses on MasterChef again.
We did the 7 course signature sampler menu. We all mocked the sizes but were all left struggling at the end.
The presentation and quality of the food was superb.
The wine waiters, maitre de and waiters were always on hand to describe the food/drink.
The cleared plates were taken away swiftly afte each course.
Service from all was exemplary.
The views across the Parisian city from the Eiffel Tower were breathtaking and got better as the sun went down.
The atmosphere was strange as was very subdued for a restaurant of this calibre that was full.
Costs.... Well you get what you pay for .... But 380 euros for a bottle of red... Mmmm not sure... But was very good.
The feeling you get as you walk to the door as every one watches is one of celebrityism.
The only 2 things to fault is lack of toilets for a 200 cover restaurant, and the end of the night when a queue develops waiting for the 7 person lift.
Overall an exceptional restaurant well worthy of the reservation waiting lists

We got to eat lunch at Jules Verne at the last minute on our first day visiting Paris because they had a cancellation. I felt extremely fortunate. I loved the elevator up to the restaurant. I thought the service was superb. I also thought the food was outstanding. We got the prix fixed tasting menu. Each course was a small work of art. Interestingly, my menu did not have prices on it. My husbands did. It was crazy expensive but it was really a once in a lifetime experience. It also didn't hurt that we were sitting next to an American celebrity. (We bonded bemoaning the fact that our cell phones were not working.)

This is our treat when we visited Paris for the first time....it was definitely worth it! The food and its presentation was amazing. Like some have said, you know the price before you come, you just need to enjoy it! The desserts and extras were beautiful. We opted for the 1700 stairs down to try and walk some of it off!

What a treat... to see Paris, avoid the Eiffel lines AND get fantastic cuisine. Very good wine list too. A wonderful experience and highly recommended.

The food is mediocre. The view is incredible. Service is ok. The bottom line is that when you drop $450 dollars for two people, the food should be exquisite, not just mediocre.
