What's not to like. Great decor, the staff are friendly and do their jobs well and you get 3 good courses of food, wine, coffee and aperitif for 39 euros. For a fixed price menu there is a good choice and the wine was nof a decent standard. There was a good atmosphere in the dining room and we really enjoyed our night.

We ate here before going to the late show at the Moulin Rouge. We had booked a table for 8pm and turned up 30 minutes late (due to Paris cabsor rather the lack of them!) - no problem for the restaurant. Promptly seated and served a refreshing Kir Royale and then the menus. It a simple concept - a fixed price - about 32 euro per person - for a 3 course meal with the aperitif & 1/2 a bottle of wine per person.
The service was prompt, friendly & efficient, the food typically French bistro & very nice and the wine good. Overall an excellent value for money dinner in Paris.

We were staying in a little apartment in an adjacent street, so it was very convenient for us. We decided to try the menu prix fixe, and it was a delight. We had a 3 course meal with a bottle of wine, as well as a pre meal aperatif and coffee to follow. There were many choices for the meals, and were wide ranging. The food was excellent, beautifully served. There was a good choice of bottled wine to choose from. Extremely good value.
The decor of the bistro follows a theatrical theme, a fascinating mural is on one of the main walls and there are theatrical photos on the other walls as well. The restaurant has an elegant atmosphere. Effective lighting, enhanced by lovely mirrors on the walls. The black and white table settings are very stylish. The music, which ranged from classical to stage shows, was loud enough to enjoy but was not intrusive on conversation.
Our French is adequate but certainly not fluent, however that was not a problem. The maitre d' on each of our visits was charming and the waitpersons (of both sexes) were friendly and helpful with their service and assisted with information about both the food and wines. The first time we went we did not have a booking - however, we were not made to feel uncomfortable about that - and were shown to a table immediately and without fuss. The second time we had booked and were given the table we requested, next to the window to watch the passers-by. This restaurant may not have Michelin stars, but we could not fault it in any way. The constant flow of patrons during the times we visited is a testimony that they are really trying to please - and it is the little things that make a good bistro into a terific one - and this one is!

I had been to Bistro des Deux Theatres several years ago and loved it then. We were just in Paris to celebrate my daughters graduation and engagement and thought we might try it again. Absolutely the best in Paris. The fix prix of 39 Euros can not be beat for the exceptional meal you get. Elegant presentation and interior I HIGHLY recommend you eat here is you ever are in Paris. A 3 course meal, a bottle of wine (for 2) and an appertif to start and excellant food. My daughter wanted to come again the next evening! I do suggest you make a reservation as it seems to always be busy....you will see why! Our favorite place in Paris

Now here's a real deal. This nice, maybe a little kitchy decor, restaurant was a great surprise. The staff was friendly and fun. The food was great. We had wonderful Foie Gras app, and Foie Gras and scallop entree, both great. Maybe not the best choice was the marinated scallop/salmon app., and the flaming Crepe Dessert was a nice show, but too much liquor, and not enough taste. Dinner included a glass of Champagne, and a bottle of wine, for like $35.Really a nice place, definitely reccommend it, great food, drink, service and price.
