...of the macarons, which you might think are lumpy, sweet "macaroons" in English, but not so. These are amazingly colorful-crunchy-outside-creamy-inside delights. There are amazing flavors, some of which only appear seasonally. They are well received as a classic gift, to take home or for a French Hostess/Host. The TRICK is to order your Macarons while dining, to avoid the long line downstairs. They will be beautifully wrapped and ready when you leave!
One need not be shy when ordering from the menu. It is extensive, for breakfast, lunch or early supper. You'll find English translations, take your time. I'm always amazed though, that the Macarons get all the attention! The PASTRIES are divine! Each one is a work or art, with fresh fruit, to die for Chantilly creme, chocolate, pistachio-you'll find your favorites. These are true artisinal French treats, which my husband also likes because they aren't "too sweet." All of the food at Laduree is delightful.
You'll find the atmosphere at each of the various Parisean locations to be slightly different, in decor and energy. Ask your hotel concierge for guidance and-reservations can be made! Please don't expect to rush in and out-the ceremony of lingering with your coffee or tea is wise, as service may be slow. You'll soon recognize the Lauduree minty green decor that is known worldwide-locations now in Asia! Hope you can savor a delightfully sweet visit!
