Description: Since february 2016, the Chef Christophe Poard operate in La Truffière restaurant’s kitchen. He proposes there recipes that, beyond being the symbiosis of his culinary vision and the identity of our restaurant, are the result of the experience accumulated in numerous starred establishments, nearby great Chefs. It’s in the Casino de Deauville that were heard his first pan noises, where he began as a kitchen help, before entering the prestigious triple starred Schwarzwalstube restaurant as a Chef de partie. After a military service done at the Cadre Noir de Saumur, he successively worked in renown establishements, like Le Clos Longchamp ** (Jean-Marie Meulien), Le Restaurant Vieille Fontaine** (François Clerc), Le Taillevent*** (Phillipe Legendre), Le Jamin*** (Joel Robuchon) or Le Grand Vefour*** (Guy Martin). Exploring his passion to other aspects, he participated at the creation of great names of the hotel industry, as a Food and Beverages manager in the five stars hotels Park Lane in Anvers and Carlsbad Plaza in Czech Republique, and as a Chef in the Château D’Hassonville in Belgium. All of this earned him to be rewarded on numerous occasions, receiving honours as the Award of the Cook of the Year, the 17/20 grade and the Clé d’Or by the Gault et Millaut Belgium guide, five diamonds on the Lemaire guide and five stars on the Knack guide.

Truffles, truffles, truffles! The food, service and atmosphere in this restaurant are first rate. The prices are high, but it is a memorable meal. One of their specialties is oxtail, finely chopped and then reconstituted with truffle oil. It sat on a bed of truffled mashed potatoes, and topped with truffles, of course. They even served us a black truffle macaron after our cheese course dessert. Yummy!

Looking for a special experience to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, during our Paris visit, we consulted the concierge at our hotel. Whilst giving us a number of options, Fred said La Truffiere was his favourite. We are so glad we accepted his recommendation. We also decided to have the "surprise" 6 course degustation with matching wines, and everything we tasted was a culinary delight. We were located downstairs in the cellar dining room, which had a special atmosphere to it. The service was outstanding, with Eric the sommelier in particular having a delightful manner. This was a memorable dining experience for a very special day.

I had the lunch prix fixe - wow. Limited choice but every plate was superb - such an interesting and eclectic blend of French and Japanese influences (which never felt contrived - it just worked). There was no element of the meal which was not of the highest standard - even the bread was just incredible. I can only speak of the lunch service which i thought was decent value. The sommelier (unsurprisingly given the restaurant's reputation) picked out some outstanding wines without going for the high end of the wine list.

The restaurant is deceptive from the outside - looking little different from many of the tourist traps around Rue Mouffetard but its a gorgeous, calm interior - I liked the fact that tables were nicely spaced out rather than trying to cram too many people in...

Overall, myself and my wife had a great time and will definitely be back

Its Michelin star food and each plate has all these different flavors and textures. The service was par excellence and I felt very well treated with several "serveurs" helping at all times. Even the maitre d' asked us how our experience was. I have to say it is one of the best meals I had in Paris and would definitely come again. I came during lunch and had the prix fixe with my daughter who also loved the place. Next time I would have chosen something different than the cheese plate as my daughter's dessert was excellent.!

visited la truffiere and left feeling amazed by the quality of the evening i've had. everything from the food to the cosy ambiance to the slick service was spot on. the waiter who served us was the smoothest man i'd ever met, pouring wine into our glasses from a metre above the glass with not a single drop missing the glass.

we went for the initiation menu and every course we tried was delicious. the meal was quite expensive but worth every penny
