“Consistently Good”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

We have always had excellent seafood here. Our most recent meal, two weeks ago, was exceptionally good. The fish soup is perfect. Service is formal and correct but not rude or cold. Lovely decor adds to a wonderful ambiance.

“Beautiful meal”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

Fabulous seafood, we really enjoyed the meal. The ambience is great - plenty of room for each table, it's quiet and the staff are very professional (although some smile and some don't). If you don't get the set menu (which is pretty limited) it is quite expensive though.

“Worst service ever!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We booked a table for three people on the previous day, since this was one of the few decent restaurants near the hotel that were open on a Sunday, and it looked promising. We booked for 7 pm but when we got there, the door was locked. When finally someone came to the door they told us very rudely that it is "impossible" that we would have that reservation since they open at 7.30 although we all had heard it and were positive that the booking was for 7. No times were indicated outside. At this point, if my old mother with walking disabilities had not accompanied us, we would have left. Instead we chose to wait for the opening outside at the terrasse like others. We were told earlier that the outside tables could not be booked (as we wished) but if there were room we could sit there instead. At 7.30 a staff member came and again, very rudely, told us that we were not allowed to sit there since it is "for the boss" (no sign, nothing, normal table) and that we had to follow him inside. He used a tone that a police would use with you if you had broken the law. We tried to insist on a table outside since it was a beautiful weather and he asked if we were there for the scenery or to eat. A Dutch family of 6 were at the same time arranged a table outside with a lot of trouble. And I want to emphasize that we are well travelled, behaved and dressed properly, sober, spoke the language etc. so did not in any way provoke this kind of behaviour. We then sat inside hoping that things would get better since we really did not have much choice. A blonde waitress took over after the orders had been made and that was the worst part. She threw the foods at the table without saying anything, spilled (as if deliberately) wine on my mother (without apologizing!) and to top it off, tried to trick us with extra 25 euros in the bill! We of course complained and asked for compensation. The first guy remade the bill and explained that the drinks that had mysteriously appeared on the table were the compensation. Then he had the bill paper stuck in the machine and for heaven's sake, I wonder what the credit card bill will look like. So I want to warn everybody to avoid this place at all cost - they definitely ruined my 75-year-old mother's (very probably the last ever) weekend in Paris and I would rather be shot that go there again. About the food - it was average, you can get better seafood for half the price and in a portion promising tsatziki there were a half teaspoon of it which even for french cuisine is ridiculous.

“Curbside dining”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

Great little place. We sat outside and watched the world go by. Food was excellent and the service was perfect despite some reviews to the contrary. Had the steak tartare and it was really good. The sauteed potatoes that come with it were wonderful.

“Excellent seafood and service”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

We walked through the rain to get to the restaurant on a Monday night in May. Our concierge had highly recommended it and booked for us. We were warmly welcomed, seated at a rather large table for two- a nice change after being crammed into small eating spaces the rest of our Paris visit. The restaurant was full of tourists and locals. It is likely best to have a reservation. The server kindly asked in French if we would prefer a menu in English or French, recognizing my mediocre French. Husband ordered the Scottish Salmon with asparagus and prawns and he enjoyed both. I had a crab salad and the sea bream. I have never had such good, fresh fish, so perfectly prepared, flavorful but not over seasoned. I wish I could return to Paris soon just to dine here. Or find a comparable place in the US. What a lovely experience our last night in Paris.
