Description: La Grande Cascade is a gourmet restaurant located in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne. For a romantic dinner in winter or an alfresco lunch on a sunny day in summer, La Grande Cascade is the perfect rendezvous for anyone who loves fine dining and beautiful scenery in Paris. Yet La Grande Cascade has not always been a restaurant, and this explains its unusual and truly exceptional decor. It was originally a lodge where Napoleon III, who came to the Bois de Boulogne to hunt, could take a rest. Over the years, La Grande Cascade has changed with the times while maintaining its unique "retro-modern" style. Inside, the gilding, chandeliers and mirrors offer a distinct charm to a residence that has retained its period magnificence.

“Fine dining at its best”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

We made the mistake of thinking we could get into Le Cinq for the last night of our Paris stay once we arrived at our hotel but it was unfortunately fully booked. The hotel, instead made all the arrangements for us to eat at this lovely restaurant and we were very happy we did. As you would expect from the other reviews, this restaurant, whilst pricey, ticks all the boxes in terms of service, friendly staff and, of course, fantastic food. A fitting end to a lovely Paris trip.

“Finest of fine dining ...”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

La Grande Cascade was a truly delicious and fine French dining experience. The beautiful dining room sits in the Bois de Boulogne close to but a world away from the hustle and bustle of Paris. the glassware, flatware and cutlery and service items are spectacular and you are treated as a valued guest. the staff genuinely want you to have a fabulous experience. sometimes solo diners are given a poor table; not so in this lovely restaurant. i had a full view of the gardens as well as the dining room and felt very involved in the whole experience. I took the €75 menu option and with matching wines it was €96. I ordered the foie gras, the riz d'agneau (lamb sweetbreads- definitely a dish I'd only order in France) and a fabulous meringue strawberry dessert. Each course was meticulously and beautifully prepared and presented and the flavours- words cannot convey how magnificent they were ! The service was wonderful and the ambience, perfect! I can't wait to come back - so friendly and so professional with an emphasis on creating a whole fine dining experience and beautiful ,memories! Merci Mille fois!

“A true experience”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

I have eaten at La Grande Cascade twice, once with my parents when we came to France in 2010 and one on my honeymoon in June 2013. Both times were better that I expected. You are greeted by a very friendly staff, you feel as though you are walking into an experience and not just a restaurant. Since we didn't speak French, they were extremely helpful in translating the menu for us and helped us pick the perfect wine that was comparable to our favorites from Napa. The food was amazing, the presentation was perfection, the ambiance and atmosphere was elegant. It was the perfect restaurant for us to celebrate our honeymoon in style. I highly recommend dining here when you are visiting.

“great place to eat in paris”
Reviewed June 7, 2013

This is not the first time we came to this place. and it will not be the last time, for sure. If you are lucky and the sun is shining ( it happens) than you get served on ther Terrasse. The menu dégustation is great and for that price you won´t getter a better Quality/Price ratio in Paris. The meal was very tasty and very harmonised (a thing you don´t get everywhere nowadays anymore - where there is more for you camera than for your tasting). Waiters very polite and very present. The bill was about € 250 per Person including champagne, White wine and red wine. A unique Moment of calm in a very loud City. We´ll be back, and so will be our guests.
