Had an amazing meal at this super restaurant / cafe, we had to wait but it was well worth it, I've recommended to friends and they also had a brilliant experience. Top marks for an off the beaten track resturant.
You MUST try the creme brûlée, wow

We thought we had reservations elsewhere and ultimately walked into this restaurant on a Saturday night. They told us they only had the "emergency table" available. We grabbed it! The food is outstanding and the service is wonderful. We started with the steamed leeks - amazing. I ordered the chicken with morels and my husband ordered the steak frites. Dessert was a ridiculously delicious chestnut napoleon. It was our favorite meal in Paris.

This is one of the most popular restaurants in Paris and deservedly so. The menu is more country than haute cuisine but delicious from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and convivial. The staff is all very comfortable speaking English. The quality of the food is outstanding. Even though visited by many Americans the evening we had dinner there were large parties of French people all around us enjoying themselves as well. It is a very special place.

The only reason I did not give this a 5 was because we had to wait and I felt a bit put off at first . Make a reservation! The food was perfect , mushroom soup with truffle oil, roasted duck and potatos melted in my mouth. It was just the meal I was looking for on a chilly December night!

We've been to the Fontaine de Mars several times. Of course it became very famous when President Barack Obama and Michelle at here a few years ago. We were struck by how few French people and how many Americans were there. The service is friendly, the menu typical bistro fare, but we think you can do much much better in Paris.

Our first meal here - almost 20 years ago was memorable, our most recent visit offered decent, but hardly exciting fare. Not cheap.
