This is our 2nd time having lunch over a 1yr gap and overall, the food, service, ambiance and environment was superior and memorable.

The only small feedback would be a major revamp of the menu should be in the works. Both times, we had the 5 course meal and ate almost (70%) the same food as our last holidays in 2014. That said, again it maybe unfair to them as we normally visit during late spring/early summer and that maybe their seasonal menu.

Of course, the signature dishes can be kept but I would think think most of the others could be refresh or overhaul.

That's the reason I gave 1 star less, the food became predictable for a 2nd timer. But I would gladly return since the overall food is a major magnet for return customers.

We had an outstanding experience at L'Astrance. We were seated at a beautiful table on the upper level. The service was perfect - attentive, but not hovering. The menu was fixed and the pace at which the courses were presented was perfect.
A nice wine list - the sommelier could have been more helpful though.
We would recommend L'Astrance very highly.

Did not live up to expectations. Appetizer tasteless fois gras, main was a small chicken dish had some grizzle sent it back got duck instead better but nothing special. Dessert unmemorable. Time to update a very dated tired menu. Wine average. Should have realized when most people there were not french mostly tourists for lunch something was off. Having eaten over the years at a number of starred french restaurants this was the poorest. Cannot figure out why this place is three stars I'd give it none. Save your 330 euros. Try Asperge a truly 3 star experience with an inventive chef and menu.

It was really very interesting and tasty experience! Interesting and tasty food! The chef was great and very modest.
Great and not boring service, which was organised in really nice and professional way! The whole team spoke perfectly english which is also nice.

It seems that a meal at a three Michelin star restaurant in Paris should be one of the best in the world. Not quite.

The setting here is wonderful and we were seated at an amply-sized table upstairs, where there are only two tables. We sat there, amazed at the beauty of the surroundings, anticipating a wonderful experience.

The problems began with a young man, who i presume is the sommelier, although several of the staff were involved with the wine service. To be blunt, he was unfriendly and bothered by our being there. We settled on a bottle of red for the several of us and I later decided upon the pairing for myself.

Two other servers, a man and woman, were quite professional and friendly. A second woman however, was a disaster. Unfortunately she was the primary server for the wines. Each time I was to receive a new glass, she either presented the wine and actually served it sometime later, even half way through the course, or served it in advance of the course and then came back at some point later to describe the wine. More than once each of us had an empty water glass and even those drinking from the bottle we ordered found their glasses dry. The man and other woman serving seemed quite disturbed each time they came to our table, yet no one stepped up to correct the deficiencies. Disappointing.

The food of course was flawless. Course after course was perfectly executed and enjoyable but honestly there was nothing amazing, original or memorable. Not every dish needs to be a wow, but give us something that stands out.

I'm honestly surprised that L'Astrance carries three stars. Certainly one star, maybe two, but we've eaten at at least half a dozen lesser starred restaurants with truly amazing, innovative dishes served by a far more competent staff.

As we departed, the disaster woman dropped and destroyed a beautiful piece of stemware. That seemed to sum up our experience. I'm sorry but I cannot recommend L'Astrance when there are so many superior restaurants in Paris.
