While Paris is not eactly a hotbed of Asian cuisine, Diep has been reliably good forever. The old-school interior has a warmth and cosiness that is welcoming and reassuring. It hasn't ever changed. Service is excellent. Typical Chinese menu offering primarily Cantonese dishes. A few Szechuan favorites. The fresh lobster is a terriffic dish, and you can choose your own. Something for everyone. Can get busy and reservations are a good idea.

Bland, extremely expensive. Hotels must be getting some benefit for recommending it. All three dishes poor. Rice a starchy mass. Staff were all polite.

I loved it! We were a group of 5 and we ordered different things so we could share. Yes it was a little bit expensive, but the food deserved every penny.

Do you have any other restaurants in the world?

When entering Diep, we were greeted by a host filled with energy. Even though our hotel had messed up the reservation, he still sat us outside and gave us a great people-watching-view. Our waitress was always within shouting distance and the bus staff was very attentive. Furthermore, the food was probably our best meal in Paris. Don't get me wrong, this meal was very expensive, but it was fantastic. The only qualm I would have to say would be the small portion sizes, but hey, it's Paris. I know it sounds strange to recommended an Asian restaurant in Paris, but do not hesitate to try this gem.
