“Chez délicieux”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

The concierge at Le George V sent us to Chez Savy when we inquired about authentic French dining. He did not miss the mark. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were welcomed as if they'd been waiting for us all day - they warmly showed us back to a cozy, private table and the service only got better from there. Our servers were quick to make menu and wine recommendations and checked back often to ensure that we were enjoying our meals. My husband and I each ordered the classic steak frites and they were absolutely wonderful. The steaks were cooked to a perfect medium rare and the frites were thin and crispy, cooked in duck fat, just as you'd imagine in Paris. The suggested burgundy pairing was perfect, as was the baba au rhum we enjoyed for dessert. The service was fanastic, the food was fantastic, and the ambiance was old-Paris romance. On our return to Paris, our first stop will be Chez Savy.

“How Paris once was”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

If only there were more genuine Parisian restaurants left like this, serving good, genuine, hearty food, without pretense for modern fads; we loved our meal there. My wife had a fennel salad to start, followed by an enormous long cooked lamb shank, which looked wonderful, I had some baby calamari to start, very tasty and tender, followed by a rather spicy steak tartare with some incredibly fine, thin pommes allumettes; the service was very old style French, and I am sure is even better if you speak the language as our friends that we were dining with did and therefore were chatting away with the waiter. Good French wine list, and overall good value.

“A 25+ YEAR CLIENT OF THIS RESTAURANT”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Experience Paris dining in a setting that dates back to the 1930's. Not a bistro or brasserie but a Parisian dining experience that is hard to find today. Have been a diner at Chez Savy (Savy original name) since 1986 and always enjoy the experience. Try everything from traditional dishes of Auvernge to classics such as roast shoulder of lamb for two or steak frites or foie d'veau. Wide choice of wines - attentive and careful service. Both the front room and newly remodeled rear dining area provide an outstanding Parisian dining experience. Good value and a special experience for single diners, couples and larger groups. Book ahead.

“typical small Parisian brasserie just off the Champs-Élysées”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

We had a nice time at this typical 1930 Parisian brasserie. Lunch time is very crowded but we were offered a seat within 10' max. The service is swift and accurate like a choreography ;-) but even in the middle of the hustle and bustle the staff remains very friendly and they don't lose their sense of humor... The ratio price/quality of the food seems good, considering the surrounding standards namely, only maybe the wine is somewhat overcharged: 7,5 eur per glas seems high particularly when you're told beforehand. Nonetheless, the overall experience was good and we would certainly return there. Also it's not far from the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais and it's the ideal break between two exhibitions!
