“Charming!”
Reviewed August 8, 2012

We went there for dinner. This place was full with local people. It was more like a place to hang out and drink. I love the atmosphere. Not many choices for food but it was good. The staff was very friendly and active with a sense of humor.

“Made me want to take up smoking!”
Reviewed July 4, 2012

Loved chez prune - we arrived at 5pm and were advised no food at all until 7 so we settled in to an outside table and watched the beautiful local young people go by. So much eye liner, so much French cool, so much cheek kissing and bicycles! It was worth the visit just to see the people - after ten days in Paris it was great to escape tourist areas and just mld in to a real student area. We drank cheap caraf red wine which was actually really nice. The place spilled onto the. Footpath by 6 and we were happy to have arrived before the rush. The food is v limited but we had the charcuterie platter and it was delicious; hams, pickles, bread, terrine and several cheeses which was perfect for the warm night. Waiters are way cool and typically laid back but friendly enough once they warm to you. Everyone smokes and I can't believe they make a living by students chain smoking & sitting on 1 glass of wine but they must cos it was packed. Loved it! Rough and ready but honest and great people watching experience. Only trouble is getting a cab back to town but waved one down several blocks away.

“Nice cafe”
Reviewed June 20, 2012

Went for coffee and a rest after a long day doing touristy stuff. Nice ambience, quite busy when we went, it had a mixed crowd of locals and foreigners.

“Unexpectedly delicious! ”
Reviewed June 9, 2012 via mobile

We stopped by for lunch based on reviews. Their menu changes daily as it was printed with today's date. We got the chicken with lemon and the perche fish. Both were SO flavorful and delicious that we weren't the only ones that mopped up every last bit of sauce on our plates with the tasty baguette. They sold out of 2 of the 4 desserts so we had the creme caramel and white cheesecake foam thing. Both were good. Overall, one of the tastiest places we ate so far. I'd go back to check out their dinner menu. Lunch for us was €14/entree, €5.80/dessert. Total with 2 cafe creme and 2 sangrias was about €60.

“Enjoyable antipasta”
Reviewed May 4, 2012

We returned from Paris this morning and ate at this bistro last night, I posted a request on the forum for recommendations to eat in this area, and this was a suggestion. It was very busy with a good atmosphere, the food was very fresh and of good quality, my son is a chef and said it was excellent. Definate recommendation.
